people have been telling me mixed things about it. i guess all i can do is try it out to find out myself. my grandma said she gained weight from taking it, but shes also 65 and got on it a year ago. so idk.

I am on Zoloft. It has helped me tremendously in becoming a better caregiver for my daughter. I have been on it for almost 2.5 months now. I stopped taking it for a week because I didn't have money to refill my prescription and I felt my depression coming back. So I still need it. But some need it longer than others. Good luck!

I know the feeling. I cry about everything. Whether I should be upset about it or not. I'm filling the script tomorrow... hopefully I have good experiences with it.

haha, when i first got out of the hospital the first thing i cried about was my body and the marks all over it. then 2 seconds later i started to cry because there wasnt any tea. its absolutely ridiculous, i feel your pain. then i cried because the baby wouldnt take my boob to BF, because i had a c-section and he got a bottle for the first thing to eat. it was horrible. =( still is...

It will just depend on your body chemistry. You may take to it, you may need something else.

I know, I was severely depressed when I was 16 or 17 to the point I tried to kill myself, and I would have had my Dad not found me on my bathroom floor... they put me on meds and I never found one that worked (but I was never on Zoloft because they thought I needed something way stronger). I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

No, I didn't mean it started working the first day.
It just made me feel all uppity.
I was in the hospital when I took it for the first time, and then told me it was normal for the first time taking them.
I think it was probably because I had never taken a pill before in my life, besides like tylenol. And it just made me feel weird.
