Not too sure...

posted 30th Aug
If this is where I should post this question, but I am a first timer and I know you bleed for 2-6 weeks after the baby is born...My question is what kind of pads did you go with? Especially right after the baby is born when the flow is the heaviest? I was a tampon user before I got pregnant so I am totally clueless when I look at the MANY different types and shapes of pads!

the hospital send you home with the big honekers youll need for the first day or two home, then i went to "nightime"pads with wings. ( they are long and thicker) for a week then just regular ones till u get to use panti liners.

Really big huge ones that you would never get caught dead wearing cuz they are freakin huge. The hospital will send you home with some so you get the idea. then you can switch to smaller ones once your bleeding gets less. Lets just say that I ran out of hospital ones and while waiting for husband to get back with new ones I used a New Born diaper and well it didn't feel that different!

When my son was born I brought Always Overnight w/ wings with me to the hospital and used those. I didn't like the big ones the hospital provides because they slide all over the place while I was sleeping and it just got messy (tmi, I know) but the overnight ones worked just as well as the ones the hospital provide. Just my opinion. They're much more comfortable too.

I used the Always brand the max. ones I think they were and/or the overnight ones. You may be lucky though I know some people who would only bleed for like 2 weeks. I wasn't that lucky I went for 8 weeks. But anyway those are the best ones I know of to use.
