I am having SUCH a hard time with this whole postpartum fatass thing. Seriously. I've never been fat before- I've always had a big butt, but in a good way, and I've always had a skinny torso ... and now there's lovehandles and chub and all sorts of things, and it's starting to really depress me. I'm only 2 weeks PP but it just isn't dropping off the way I thought it would- and yes, I'm breast feeding. I went shopping today and bought some things without trying them on, and lo and behold, I'm nowhere near small enough to wear them and not have an obvious muffin top. In fact, the only clothes I'm comfortable wearing in public are my preggo tops! It's rediculous. Just ranting here ... I feel so ugly and fat ... and I don't see it changing anytime soon.

I feel the same way
I'm two weeks PP too (mine was born on August 15th  ) aaaaaand I had a c-section so I have this...flabby, pooch that hangs all weird.
Not to mention I gained 60 pounds. I've lost 25 (last time I checked) but I am obviously still huge.

Kill me now.

It'll all be good in due time. Just remember that you sacraficed that gorgeous body of yours for the best possible cause. And you got all flabby making sure there was enough to feed your little monster.
If you try, it'll all go away. But its going to take a couple months at least.. your hormones havent even settled yet

I am almost 2 weeks PP. Don't worry. Give it some time. That's what I'm doing. I bet you look a lot better than you think.

Just remember that it took you 9 months to get that way, so it's gonna take awhile to get it back the way you want it...

No worries mama, it'll start to drop before you know it!

It took me about 7 weeks to get back into my old clothes and now i still wear some maternity pants at that time of month because they are so comfy

Well.. I know this is going to sound so cliche but it took you 9 months to put it on, give it at least that time to take it off. I'm over a year PP and although I'm down to my pre preggy weight and then some, I still can't fit into my pre preggy jeans. Your body changes so much when you have a baby. Give your body time to heal, and just focus on small goals instead of big ones at first.

now it will take time , to do this but here are some tips hun ,

make sure to do long walks every day take little one that way he/she gets air at the same time burns ALOT of calories etc

go back to eating not quite when yur hungry just before you are and eat smaller meals  with healthy snacks in between also try eating 6 small ones a day rather then three huge ones ,
also stress and depression is a huge weight factor   it actually helps pack em on so if your body is used to gaining ( ie during preg) then its going to be programmed to continue doing so !

and make sure to sleep if he/she is asleep you should sleep !!

oh and swimming helps burn A TON of cals as well
GL  and just try and thiink this way it was worht it packing them on !!

Wow....Youre only 2 weeks calm down. It'll take some time hun....I'm almost 8 weeks pp and within my 4th week I was back into my Pre-Pregnancy jeans. Theyre a little tight, but I was a size 4 & when I went shopping recently I can fit into a 5. Having some fat on your body doesn't make you ugly...I still look a little pregnant in the tummy, but in time it will all come off. Just get a head start on your dieting until your 6 weeks then excersize your ass off & then WHAM. Back to skinny mini. It just takes some time & dedication.

Thanks everyone .. I weighed myself yesterday (after my mini meltdown) and I was 151 - I gained 37 pounds, from 145 to 182- so I already lost 30 pounds- it made me feel a little better. 7 pounds to loose, and then I'd like to loose another 10-15, and then some toning- thanks everyone- I should be a little easier on myself.
