He gets pissed!

Peyton absolutely HATES being burped during feedings! He screeches and does his best Ray Charles impression when I go to do it. Does anyone else's baby hate it too? What do you do to get them to burp? Sometimes he burps anyway but he works himself up so much that he spews whatever he just ate back up.

Sometimes when Anthony won't burp I'll sit him on my knee facing in the direction that I'm looking in and bounce him lightly on my knee and he'll burp... or you could put him on his tummy and he should burp

Aiden doesn't spit it back up, but he does get really pissed, like WTF woman I wasn't DONE with that!!! lol

I try laying him down inbetween and let him get a cry going, pick him back up and try again. It doesnt always work but it helps, I also use the baby gasdrops mylicon

That's how Peyton is, I know its because he's mad that I took the bottle away! He's just a spitter anyway, so if i put him on his tummy he'll ralph all over the place. Bouncing is definitely out for the same reasons, LOL!!

Gaffin doesn't mind when I do it, but when his father does it he gets pissed.

my sis-in-law cant burp my niece because she spits up just about everything it looks like. She lets her finish her bottle and walks around with her rubbing her back in circles, up and down to help it out. Hope that helps

Colin just started doing the same thing.. This morning I tried after the first 2 oz, got the "tantrum" for the bottle.. let him go the last 4 and tried again and got the same thing. I just kept him upright for about an hour and only got a little spit up with surprised me.. but I don't know why all of a sudden he is refusing to burp! No Matter what way I put him .. and I swear he purposely finds my ear to scream into!

Peyton leans in to my ear or tries to get in my face to scream   I've tried sitting him upright to stop the spit up but that doesn't help either. I think he might have acid reflux but my doc didn't seem too concerned so I guess I'll just keep trying to find something that works.

Does Peyton push himself down to the "Feeding" postion??!! LoL These little punks! I swear.. Colin is going to be the kid on the floor pounding his fists when he is older!

Peyton has some really strong legs and he kicks me until I bring him back down! Sometimes I swear he would get up and walk off if he could,   Yeah I'm kinda scared to see what he does when he doesn't get his way as a toddler.. we're probably both going to be in trouble, LOL!

colins realy strong too.. I think if he could get up and walk off he wouldn't be able to drag himself away from the bottle! ha ha . . As far as the Acid Reflux goes : Colin has been going to the Dr's often bc of the same concerns.. he got an ultrasound on his belly to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with the opening.. and hes going to an ENT in a few wks because he has been snorting and spitting up through his nose. He's on the Similac Soy Advanced with Isomil and it seems to have made a small difference.. What formula is Peyton on?

My son does the same thing. He refuses to burp! soemtimes i try for half an hour and just get screams and barf but no burp.

We tried the Similac soy but it didn't make much of a difference. We've tried everything even the hypoallergenic nutramigen and the lesser of all evils seems to be the nestle goodstart. My doc said he'll grow out of the spitting up soon... i can't wait!!!

Does he wear bibs all the time? I have a bib on Colin ALL The time.. hoping it will somewhat catch the mess... And we have graduated from using burp clothes to receiving blankets to try and burp him. I hope it ends soon too... How is his weight? My DR's concerned about Colin's. I don't know how though. He was born on 6/29 at 7.14, 6 wks early.. and 2 wks ago was 11.12.. and I KNOW he is at least 12 now.
