does anyone know whats going on with the hurricane, i live in houston and really dont want it to hit

My ex-husband stays near new orleans and i know its supposed to hit there so be prepared to see all those new orleans again, I havent heard anything about texas tho, sorry if i wasn't much help...

It is supposed to hit Lousiana directly sometime Tuesday afternoon. The tracker thing I looked at said it will hit the US Tuesday at 2PM

Yes it is supposed to hit Louisiana almost dead on. Its projected path shows it hitting the entire coast of Louisiana as a cat 3. In southern LA where I live we are supposed to have tropical storm force winds, rain, and tornados. It seems to have its sight set on LA. There is a possibility it could shift further west towards Texas but so far all the models show it heading towards LA, making landfall on our coast.

I have no idea! My dad said that i need to get mine and Gabby stuff together so we can leave tomorrow. But i thought we weren't goin to get hit.

Fox news is stating that in the next 24 hours it will be a catogory 5 but will most likely hit land at a 3 to 4. And the expected land fall is 8am MONDAY morning for New Orleans. Very scary I have been keeping up with this storm the last couple of days. Also, the mayor (I think) was saying that he doesnt expect anything but road flooding, but could be more depending on how the flood gates they have now hold up....But, he was also saying hes no meterologist(sp) so who knows? I just hope and pray that everyone in its path does evacuate for the sake of what happened 3 yrs ago. I pray this strom dies down!
