"stupid white girl"

Yesterday on my way home from work I was flipping around radio stations and found a rap/hip hop station that was talking about the Obama speech. Me being the well rounded conservative I am  , I listened for a minute.
Apparently earlier in the show, someone texted the host "f*** Obama" so of course he had to call her back and found out she was a 17 year old white girl. She basically said she didn't like Obama and nothing else of real importance. You would have thought though, that she was the most racist person ever. Personally, I despise Obama and his campaign but not because of his skin color. Anyway, tons of callers starting calling in going nuts and there was more than one that referred to her as a "stupid white girl" who had to be "rich and have rich parents" because she didn't like Obama. Now I was super offended because if anyone on the radio (and the host was laughing and basically condoning the callers opinions while this was going on) called someone a "stupid black girl/guy" it would be over. They were blaming her dislike for Obama soley on the fact that she was white and he was black. So much for racial relations!

What do you all think??? Is it okay, or explain to me why is is less racist, to call someone white in a derogatory way than calling someone black in that same way?? Discuss!

neither is ok, but we don't live in a perfect world where everyone understands, accepts, and lives that way.

It seems to me that only white people can be raciest black people can call each other the n word but we say it and oh boy you better run. They make comments like stupid white girls but if we said stupid black girl again you better run. I think it's dumb because I've met a lot of really raciest black people in my life but they never got called out on it even in class it's really annoying.

I think there is kind of a double standard when it comes down to it

Because that's the card that stupid black people use... "Oh, they don't like Obama because he's black!" Common now, they've been pulling the black card for years now, it's getting kind of old...

I made a poll about "blame whitey, of course" and asked why blacks scream racism....it turned into 30+ PAGES of drama in CFC!!

I maintain that many blacks are ignornant and rely on the victim card too much.

I asked why it's okay for blks to call each other nigger but not a non-blk in a college class once. The class went into an uproar! But the prof was like, "Yeahhh, this is an academic setting. We should be able to maturally discuss matters like this."

Being both white and black, I hate when either have anything negative to say about each other,,,,,I wish people would look beyond color and learn to see people for what they are not what they look like.....to me it's just sad, and I have heard racism from both sides, and trust me, neither is very nice, and NO ONES innocent! But I def think that a person should be able to say Barack is an ass, just like a black person should be able to say McCain's a dick without being thought of as racist JMO!

B/c to some blacks they honestly feel like they deserve to use that word. Its been used by whites and other races for so long against blacks that some actually believe that they should take ownership of it and use it to their discretion. I personally dont use the word b/c my mother despises it and always taught me and my brother NOT to use the word. I also think that the word nigger shouldnt indicate just black ppl but any person who uses it is an ignorant ass...

I don't know that I'd say it's necessarily racist to say either "stupid white girl" or "stupid black girl"... though it's certainly silly to highlight the race that way.

If they're claiming that they're stupid because they're white or black... that would be racist, but if they're claiming they're stupid and white or black, but the stupidity and the race are not connected, just stated as "facts", well, as I said, it's silly and inappropriate, but not racist.
