Abdominal pain isn't fun

All last night, and all today I have this horrible abdominal pain which wont subside no matter what I do. I looked up possible reasons for this and I'm kind of unsure about what it really could be.

I can't do anythig. When I say anything I seriously mean ANYTHING other than try to find things to soothe the pain and it just wont go away.

I tried a hot bath, millions of different comfortable positions, stretching a little bit (heard it works. its all LIES. ) and everything imagineable and it isn't working!

My initial thought was it could be ligaments stretching. But Im 36 weeks, isn't that too far to be having that still? Isn't that something that usually happens in the second trimester? So I thought it could be BH! Only problem with that is i dont get a tightening feeling, it is just constant menstral like pains that dont ever subside. I have back pain, but it goes away within a few seconds of me sitting down with a pillow behind my lower back. So I figured.. Fake contractions wont just go away by a pillow, lol.

Sooooo, then I searched on here and read some topics and saw ladies mentioning kidney infections/bladder infections.. Etc. And I'm also just so unsure about that as well! I never hurts when I pee, or feel like going when I don't have to or anything. I just pee. My doctor has said since a few months ago about nitrates and a possible UTI. But every other appointment I come up clean in the urine test so I haven't been given any form of antibiotic.. Because if its an infection then it is hiding pretty damn well. I just got a culture test also, where they like swab down there and run tests. That was a few days ago, and if there was an infection I feel like my doctor would have contacted me.. So I dont know.

But anyways. The only thing that I have that really related to anything I read on here was;
constant abdominal pain like mentraul cramps
unable to make a bowel movement
lower back pain

and that's really it. I cant sleep at all! Its been going on for two days. (Today makes it the second,) and Im going to call my doctor in a little while.. I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and what it could be.

(The one time the search option really doesnt work.  )

OH. And also.. My urine doesn't look/smell like urine AT ALL. I know its my pee, because I know when I'm peeing compared to just leaking.. And it doesnt smell at all like amonia or have any tint of yellow in it. (I know not all pee is yellow. But prior to these past few days, my pee was yellow, lol.) And I haven't been drinking much more water than I usually do, so I feel it isn't due to rehydrating my self ater a period of dehydration.

Im going to call my OB in a few minutes. Searching for the phone is going to suck, I'll tell you that much.

Anyone have any possible ideas at what this could be?

Sounds like maybe something to do with your kidneys possibly... either that or extremely bad constipation, depending on how long its been since you went.

I had horrible pain right around 36 weeks. I asked my doctor about it 3 different times because it was so bad. He kept saying the same thing - your muscles are waaaay stretched out from the baby, they are all in a sense "sprained". Totally normal, completely horrible feeling. Mine have gone away for the most part (maybe the muscles just gave up hope!).

Is the pain central to certain areas, or is it all over?

Sounds like a call to the doc is needed for sure.

when i was in labor with my daughter all i felt for two days before i had her was menstrual like pains and they wouldnt go away it was because i had a UTI, and it never burned when i peed or anything the only reason i even went to L&D was because i started peeing blood and i couldnt sleep or lay still it hurt to do anything never once did i have any tightness in my stomach like contractions so maybe youare in labor

I'm in the same boat as you~ I started getting cramping last night as well~ only on top of all that my boobs are killer sore   This all happened to me a couple weeks before my daughter was born too~ I haven't had trouble having a BM, but sometimes it's hurts so bad it makes it hard to pee~ Remember~ your body is getting ready for that little one to come out~ you will still have pain & discomfort~ especially around your pelvic area~ it is widening after all~ for my back I lay on my back (supported by 3 pillows, so I am upright) then put 2 pillows under your knees~ good luck~ it's almost the end!

its always right underneath my belly and usually it is more to the left side.

and the office is closed for the holidays.

Then maybe you should go to L&D just to be safe

That's EXACTLY where mine was...like almost right in the crook of my leg/belly. Do you have a nurse hotline or anything to call just to make sure?

i can make a BM. so im not sure if it is constipation. when i do make a BM though the cramps hurt worse, so im like YEAH FUCK THAT, lol, and just try to lay down. but laying down is horrible in every way possible. i tried pillows and raising my feet. laying on my side with a pregnancy pillow. i tried massaging the areas, which helped mildly but eventually stopped working.

Hmmm...OT, but my boobies have been getting more sore and I kind of wondered. You just gave me a little bit of labor hope.

The funny thing is I really didn't remember~ I told DH yesterday that they were hurting & he was like yea~ you were the same way about 10 days before you had Kate (I was 2 weeks over) Plus the 2 weeks before I had cramping/ contractions & they stopped~ so I see it as a good sign that I'm getting them now~ TMI,but they are also getting bigger (like I needed that) & are getting kinda hard on the side~ I say it's getting close  ~

Our emergency line always asks that too...because they log it in their system. Asking if you're pregnant is a legitimate question because OBs see all kinds of people.  

Could you try calling back?

well my doctor just called me and didnt say anything useful.. at all.   I told him my symptoms, and he asked if I was having contractions and etc. I said 'no' because I don't get tightening/back pain. And mentioned my possible infection, he said to wait for a call back to see the test results of my culture test and etc.. I don't know. I feel like what he told me was not useful AT ALL.
