why we have nightmares

I never understood why we have nightmares. i have been up since 2am cuz i had one and it was about the stupidest this ever! but yet i couldnt get myself to fall back asleep. i dreamed that Michel(sp) myers was coming after me and my 5 month old daughter. and i just couldnt get away from him. when i woke up i went into my daughters nursery and sat in the rocking chair and just watched her sleep. i thought crazy dreams only happened when we r preggo lol

no just gets worse but happens when ur awake I can't hold my daughter on the top floor of the mall scared she's gonna fall or something. everyday things become a worrie. even though my house is 100 % baby proof I still freak when my daughters quiet scared ill find her in the worst situation or srinking bleach when there's none in the house ect

I feel for you... Its 5:30 in the morning on a saturday and I am awake because of nightmares too.
