No Dilating....

Im 38 wks and i havent dilated either!!! Whats going on down there? I have a feeling he is going to be late too! he is too comfie...I have 2 wks or so to go! Is anything gonna be happening soon? HELP

Don't worry. Even though it may feel like it, you won't be pregnant forever!! He will come when he's ready!!  

I was 2 weeks overdue with my daughter & wasn't dialated @ all~ everyone is different~ you don't have to be dialated to go into labor~ if he is late, it's just because he needed more time to bake  

I know thats what everyone is telling me. It was kinda just a bummer, going in to my appt thinking i might have dilated and for her to say NOPE..kinda sad. I have a question....This is my first pregnancy so dont laugh! jk Do i have to dilate before my water breaks?

my sister was 38 weeks and wasnt dialated at all and then when she went back for her next weeks check up they told her that she was in active labor and needed to go straight to labor and delivery, she was like no im not i wasnt even dialated and im not having any pains or anything. the dr told her she was dialated to a good 7 and was having full blown contractions so maybe it will hit you all at once and he will finally make his entrance to the world good luck

Not necessarily. Only about 15% of prego womens water actually breaks on its own, ahead of active labor though. Most are broken at the hospital by a DR.

I was hoping they would check me this week~ even if I was 1 cm & still went another 3 weeks, it would still be more progress than I had the 1st time lol~ As far as your water breaking on it's own everyone is different & not everyone;s breaks~ my Dr broke mine after I was in labor for 22 hours & I had her 12 hours after that. I was probably dialated about 5 cm when he broke it.

Hey I know this was posted a few minutes ago I just wanted to give you a little hope. My friend who had her baby in July wasn't dialated or effaced at ALL at her 40 week appt. The next day, she had her baby girl.   So don't worry and good luck...
