can't get enough of momma?

posted 29th Aug
My baby is almost 5 months old. Yesterday and todayshe cries everytime I walk away. I can sit on the couch and hold her and she's happy. I get down on the floor and play with her and she's happy. But if I try to go do something she throws a fit as soon as I'm outta site. She's hurting daddy's feelings because she doesn't want nothing to do with him if I'm not sitting right there. Is this just a phase all babies go through or something? Normally she'd be happy to spend some time with dada or anyone else but not the past two days.

She's just going through separation anxiety....which is completely normal. My daughter is the EXACT same way..whenever I walk out of the room she'll scream bloody murder until I walk back in...it's not so much that she wants me to pick her up, she just wants to be able to see me. Don't fret...it'll pass... =)

My daughter has been doing that to. You just have to try and reassure them that you will be back and that you are not leaving forever.

My daughter does this also..Although she isnt making daddy upset(he's in Iraq). I asked her doc about this because its hard to let her cry just so i can switch the laundry over. She told me to play peek a boo with her! Not only with my hands, but stand on the other side of the wall & pop out every couple of seconds. This teaches them to not be afraid, that mommy always comes back. And over time you take a bit longer & longer to "pop out" lol..Hope that made sense =D

My daughter is 5 months and has done this for at least 2 months. She's getting a LITTLE better but I think it's pretty normal seeing as she sees me most of the time so anyone else holding her and playing with her (or no one at all) is frightening to her.
