I guess shes not ready today.What is considered active labor 4 or 5 cm?

3 - 4 cm....

If you go into the hospital they will admit you if your 4 cm, but not before that unless your water breaks or you blood pressure is high.

Well- I've been having contraction's like crazy for a few day's. Yesterday I was almost convinced that was 'the day'. No such luck- and my next appt. isn't for seven days. So I'm not even sure if I'm dialated at all. Although contraction's are here, they aren't regular...just a regular pain in the butt, I'm ready too hun. We're ALMOST there though =).

I'm due 6 days after you and just as ready  

Im 3 cm dilated and 70% effaced so I thought the walk would do it, but nothing, just pain

Best advice I have is try everything else...all the little "tricks" who know's if they actually work, but hell what's the worst that can happen...you don't go into labor?

Spicy food- take a bath- pineapple...*shrugs* worth a shot.

lol I tried walking, papaya, pineapple, sex, accupressure....
Only things I havnt tried are Castor oil and raspberry leaf tea

I heard castor oil isn't that good of a choice. So if I were you I'd stay away from it. I guess if your baby truley isn't ready to come out & you try castor oil, there's a higher chance of meconium (sp*). *shrugs* but again, up to you.

Try sex a few more time's, my friend' & her boyfriend had sex twice the day before an appt & the doctor's exact word's were "wow your cervix is ripening VERY fast."

I keep trying sex... hopefully it does work, I dont want to go back to the doctor next week and hear, still 1 cm!

Haha, well I still have no idea *if* I am even dialated. So I keep trying sex too, hopefully a week from today when I have my appt, I'll hear something that will make me happy! =) Good luck to you though! Let me know how it goes...

The day before I went into labor, I walked, cleaned the house, and had sex. Hopefully something can work for you!
