baggage & flights

I'll have two suitcases to check.
Then the diaper bag is my personal item.

I can gate check the stroller and I can have one small suitcase that fits in the overhead....right?

Check your specific airline baggage requirements online as that will give you the most accurate answer.

Depends on the air line now a days Some are only letting you check one bag. You can look into it.
But other than that, you are correct in what you are allowed.

You might have to check with the airline because I went overseas not to long ago, and they RAPED us with baggage fees. Our bag was only and INCH over, and we had to pay 75 per bag.

But now they have online where you can check how much they will charge you if they do.

Good Luck With that!

I'll be flying Southwest, they aren't charging any extra for 2 bags.

That sounds about right. Do your parents have a carseat on the other side? I had a carseat/stroller combo and gate checked it as one.

How long is your flight? Make sure to have things (quiet things) for Lucas to do in flight. Hopefully he will sleep for you!

You can only check one bag per seat purchased. So if you don't buy Lucas a seat, claim the other suticase is a baby item so you won't be charged for it.

He's just starting to outgrow his infant seat, by less than an inch, so we're just using that to get to the airport. My mom is buying a convertible carseat before they pick us up.

southwest still allows 2 bags at no charge [unless over weight limit]

Sweet deal. Maybe you could get one more and claim "baby item."

Depending on the stroller, they can just store it under the plane when you go to board.
I think SW lets you check 2 bags. And they let you have one personal item and one carry on for the plane.

So all in all that's 2 checked in bags
Personal item
Carry on
Umbrella stroller

And you wont get charged extra.

Yeah, you would probably have to check that. You can try calling though.
That would count as a baggage if you have to check it.
