Breast cancer?

Ok I need someone's opinion on this, especially if anyone knows someone with breast cancer. For a looong time, probably as far back as I can remember I have had a enlarged lymph node on my arm pit. I know this is TMI but i just found some dried up pus coming off it. It's tender to the touch, almost painful,

I also believe that it has gotten bigger over the past year or so, but I have yet to see a doctor about it because I have like no time to and I'm always busy and I never thought it was that big of a deal and thought maybe it was just because of my deoderant.

Maybe i'm just freaking myself out for no reason, but I read everywhere online about this and all it really said was that it could either be linked to a cold ( ovbiously I cant have a cold for years & years, im definetly not sick) or breast cancer . I really hope its not, but i was wondering if anyone knows anything about this or could find me some reliable information. I'm going to see about contacting my doctor tommarow.

i had the same thing and thought the same thing...first of all dont freak out! my dr told me that usually if it hurts its not cancer, mine got drained and now i have a ugly scar and scar tissue under my arm! Youll be fine the dr may drain it and give you antibiotics!

Did the lymph node get infected or something? My aunt had breast cancer but she had some other symptoms, and she died in less than 6 months so I cant really tell you.

mine was an infected sweat gland/duct.

honestly you need to go to a dr soon, i work in a drs office and have seen to many woman who have just put this type of situation off and nothing good comes out of it, i have also seen first hand on what happens to someone who fought as hard as they could for 5 yrs and ended up passing away, now that person will never get to know her own granddaughter and i have to look into my fiances eyes every day and see how much he would love to have his mom just hold his baby girl at least one time, not trying to scare you, but dont chance it its not worth it, ( btw deoderant can cause BC, and im not trying to start any one with an arguement here im just stating what iv heard and learned ) please again go soon

Im gonna call my doc tommarow.. I'm just scared that they are gonna have to cut it off =[

mine would go away and come back for years. i stopped wearing anti persperant(sp?) because it was blocking my sweat glands! anytime i would start back it would happen again. Also happens under my boobs sometimes! do u use alot of Deodorant?

I found a lump (well, the nurse did at my HS freshman yr) on my neck that I never noticed. Turned out to be cancer...but was never pussy. They said I probably had it since I was 4 yrs old because it was a very slow type of cancer. Better to be safe than sorry, I would go in asap!

yeah I used to have really big lymph nodes in my neck when i was younger, but they have since gone back to normal, but for a while now i have just had this one lump there on my left armpit.

I went on web md and searched it up and they said its prolly an abcess, because its a mass with pus in it . So I'm pretty sure thats what it is, and since the pus is draining out of it on its own i dont think that it will be necessary for the doc to drain it out.

From what I'm thinking, it sounds like an abscess. My grandmother died in February of breast cancer, and her mother died of it in 1989, so frankly, I don't fuck around with lumps.

I would go to the doctor, it really sounds like an abscess, because of the pus. Even if you get it removed, don't worry about it. I had one in my mouth, hurt like a bitch, but they were able to get rid of it with antibiotics (and then a root canal...)

the dr might need to get the "sac" of it, so that way it goes away for sure

mine was IN my breast. it didnt hurt it just keep getting a lil bigger..it was all contained inside a tummor so i was lucky that it wasnt anywhere else. i have a nice scar to remind me of it. =[[ i was only 16. not to freak u out but it could belymphoma. cnacer of the lymph nodes. my aunt had it and she had swollen lymph nodes. i would have thedr. look at it just tobe safe.
