Lotion?

Is it okay to put lotion on my baby he's pealing really bad and hios sklin feel really dry is it okay to put lotion on him or should I leave it be? I was told not to because then he won't develop his own oils ...is this true?

how old is ur child? if he/she is newborn then i would put lotion. my son had very dry skin and was peeling and i put lotion and it helped as a matter of a fact. they gave me a special cream from the hospital.

i think i recall being given vasoline to help with the peeling.

It might not help much, but it won't hurt either. They're just so peely when they're brand-new, LOL.

Aveeno Baby lotion is very mild, if you're looking for suggestions...

Well you should only use vaseline or Eucerin. Or you can just let him peel. It doesn't bother him as much as it does you. LOL. I went through the same thing with my son who will be 5 months on the 1st.
