My doctor sent me to a hand specialist who gave me braces to wear at night. They help a lot. I'm a transcriptionist so not being able to type was not an option. The specialist told me that chances are my hands will go back to normal after delivery of the baby. In the meantime, I have to wear my braces at night (and sometimes during the day when my hands are really sore) and drink LOTS of fluid to reduce swelling. As for symptoms, it feels like your hands are asleep (sometimes) and I have a lot of pain between my thumb and forefinger.
