baking brownies question

I'm going to bake some brownies. Is it ok to use olive oil instead of vegetable oil....I don't have time to run to the store and none of my neighbors are home!!! Please help...I wonder if it will screw up the taste!??

Don't use olive oil! Do you have apple sauce??!! You can use that as a substitute for veg. oil..

I dunno, but I wouldn't. I would hate to do all that work and it be nasty

might taste weird plus the flash point and consistency is different.... but might be ok...

i think olive oil might taste kind of strange in brownies. olive oil has a fairly strong flavor to it and might over power the chocolate to the brownies. you can try it though, see how you like it

  I agree. Don't use it. Applesauce is so good in brownies.

apple sauce in place of vegetable oil? I don't have apple sauce either...Maybe I'll just wait...it's only 1/3 cup though...and I really want them...

I dont think olive oil is a good idea...margerine (sp) may work, its made from veg oil.

canola [spelling?] oil or appple sauce

My hubby is going to bring me some! yay! He's already on his way home! Thank goodness!   Thanks for all your help...I was sooo about to use the olive oil!
