breastfeeding in bed

I mostly pump and bottle feed Georgia during the day, and nurse at night. I usually do not burp her, since we are both half asleep and she will fall back to sleep while nursing. Early this morning, after eating, she threw everything back up with what sounded like some air in her tummy. Now I'm wondering if I should have been burping her when she nurses laying down, even though she's asleep -- or if it was just a fluke occurence? Wondering what you ladies do in that instance?

i didn't burp my son during our night time feedings and he was fine.

maybe it was just a fluke b/c of the gas in her tummy.

I feed her like that everyday and never burp her and she does fine. So im sure its was just a one time thing.

Same here. Plus I read somewhere that laying on their sides is good for digestion.
