Battle wounds...Show me your scars c-section mamas!

Here is mine..4 weeks PP. It isn't nearly as bad as I expected....and I think it will fade away pretty quickly. I was speaking with a girl yesterday who was deathly afraid of c-section and was worried about the scar...but she had no idea what to expect, so I figured why not show her that it isn't as bad as she is imagining. please share your proud mommy scars!(p.s. don't mind the stubble...I need to shave later)

(did your tattoo get huge? i thought mine would be bigger than it is..i hope it doesnt wrinkle and stuff when i get tiny again! LOL!)

it is slightly tender if I push on it, but not too bad. The first days hurt bad but it got better quickly!

my tattoo stretched out completely on one side so it is a bit lopsided now, but I think when my skin bounces back the rest of the way it will be less noticeable. here is a picture of my belly at around 36 weeks....you can kind of tell...

Mine is still open so I wouldn't dare put it up!!! I have my PP appt today so I am going to talk to the dr about if it is ever going to close! Yours looks really good!

when did you have your baby?

On July 21st but it opened up 3 weeks 5 days ago. I had the dr look at it 3 weeks ago and he said it was fine, not infected.

I had my c section June 25, and your scar is small!! Mine ended up getting infected,because the stupid nurse failed to remove a few staples on the day i was discharged, Im still healing =0/

I'll have to try and get a picture up soon... But my scar looked just like that at that time. Now it's only noticable as a slightly raised scar and of course it's discolored slightly on my fair skin. But oddly enough when I saw your picture it made me think of my scar so much, because mine was cut slightly on an upward angle too!! I thought after I saw it that they could have at least cut a straighter line! LOL! But oh well... It looks like you are a very quick healer like me, because I know a lot of women that complained of their scars still really hurting and also being open still in some spots. I mean I'm quite sure that my incisions from my gallbladder surgery took longer to heal, mostly I think because I had that surgery just 6 weeks after having my c-section so my immune system was already trying to heal my body from one surgery.....

Your Dr. has asked you if you would like to close it?? Mines gave me an option and i told him i'll rather have him suture it back up....I still don't know how it looks in whole since i have a nasty gut-yuck that hangs over it..... 

I just had my second c-section on the 18th and im only 10 days PP right now and I have my 2 weeks PP appt tomorrow and my scar is still covered in bandages so if my doctor removes them tomorrow I'll post a pic of what it would look like after a repeat c-section I hope it won't look horrible I can't see it right now because I do have my gross looking tummy hang over it

you still have bandages? They had me take off the bandaging the second day during my shower...and just left the staples, and I had my staples removed a few days later. Why so long?
