Lost part of my mucus plug. (tmi?)

This morning, during school. At about, 7:30. I don't know if it was the whole thing, or not. It was about the size of a marbel, or smaller.. White and Brownish colored, thick and gooey looking.  

Even before that, I was having bad lower back cramps, and some cramping and it continued throughout the rest of the day.  

Can you lose part of it? Or does it all come at once?

you lose parts of it over time.

i had mucousy looking stuff for almost a month but nothing bloody until i was in full blown labor.

you can lose it in parts and it can also grow back.
