I don't own it, but I looked at their website... under the FAQ there's a how to fold it -- and the instructions say 'remove the car seat, or the pushchair seat.....' - so yeah, seems like you have to remove it to fold it.
Not sure about the snow part -- we didn't get much snow here last year which was odd, so I haven't even used my stroller in snow yet.

The Quinny strollers do look great. Expect them early to mid '07 in the US. They will also be distributing the Maxi-Cosi car seat line which will be the only infant seat to fit the Quinnys as a travel system. The only major differences between the US strollers vs. the Euro strollers that I noticed is that the Zapp will have 2 front wheels instead of 1. It must be a great stroller as at least 3 major US stroller manufacturers are knocking them off. For something different Check out Mutsy strollers...they will be out in Nov. ish.

I know this thanks for the info, but will the wheels handle the snow?

i read somewhere a owner of the musty or quinny i'm not sure which, thie wheel fell off ! the streets of new york are a serious matter they are not smooth.

i love the look of both but both of the wheel bases scare me i live hard and move hard and the wheels must keep up with my continues travel. and who do we call for a problem?

i have a quinny buzz (i'm in the uk) and you can fold it with the seat on but only if the seat is in the forward facing position and upright as far as it will go, the only problem with this i have found is that it then doesn't automatically unfold so loses one of its features. but without the seat on it is so quick ot unfold that folding and unfolding in 2 parts is really not a problem.

as for handling the snow, i don't think the buzz is up to the level of snow that the US has, the UK in comparison has pathetic amounts of snow and the buzz struggled, i would suggest something like a mountain buggy urban where you can fix the steerable wheel so in tougher conditions it is easier to push, or the bugaboo cameleon or gecko, something that is designed to handle rougher ground as well as shopping malls.

lol glad you got the answer! i'm afrqaid i don't know about the endless search for the perfect buggy ever ending as i'm still searching! my daughter is 6 months old and we are on our 20th pram (currently a jane nomad with matrix pro car seat to use as a rearward facing seat unit) the closest i have come to perfect is the bugaboo cameleon, if only it folded in one piece!

vicki

p.s have you seen the new mutsy spider thats supposed to be good, can be folded in one piece and is small and compact, supposed to be much better than the quinny prams, i am currently trying to resist

Vickim I've researched the musty spider too the wheels are also small so its like whats next ! will they handle a little snow.

as for your jane i checked out the jane nomad stroller which i love because its free standing when closed(and the look is great) but i still dont know what it cost in american money and who will ship to the u.s!!

and there is no universersal stroller i have realized in my 6 months of being a mother i will need three strollers until my son does not need the pushchair an more one is my three wheel Baby Jogger city S. for the harder weaher my son loves it and the easy fold is to die for

my next pushchair is a stroller with a actual tray with four wheels which will be a safety 1st acelle aluminite stroller which is free standing when folded and it has the tray and the bigger basket and the cup holder that the Baby Jogger does not have, most likely because the rest just dont cut it

and my last will be a very easy light weight umbrella stroller for my 5'11 height basket optional, this stroller will be just an easy grab and go stroller but i dont like the american made ones im veering toward a quinny or a Cosatto Swiftline i just have to be different i hate to have the same stroller that every one else has cough cough the maccleren!

So three strollers is a good number for me my baby jogger my son will use till he's 4 or 5 years, the weight maximum is 75 pds the most in any other stroller! and i love that fact!

my strollers have to fold in one piece because again i ride the public transportation system and i would love the bugaboo chameloen but being as single mother i just cant afford it.... i just realized our children are close in age my son was born on march 15 and yours   this is my fist son so i'm giong all out!

oh wow lucy was born on the 16th march so your little one is just one day older!

she is my 3rd and last i have 2 boys, one aged 9, and one aged 4, so i've got my little girl now and we are complete as a family, hubby has said no more and made his appointment to see to it that there are no more!!!

i have always had a bit of a buggy fetish and luckily for me theres good old ebay to sell all my mistakes. my buggy fetish started when my eldest son was 8 months old and i got an evening job in mothercare world (a big baby store incase you hadn't heard of it in the US) and realised how many differnt types of pram there are out there, i hadn't looked at them for my son as the pram was brought as a gift by the grandparents.

whilst on maternity leave i have made a bit of money buying and selling on ebay and that has funded my buggy buying, but back to work on monday so no more time for that as i work shifts as a midwife.

your 3 buggies sound like the ideal combination, the quinny buzz is a good buggy and as long as you don't mind having little one facing away from you it folds in one piece.

take care

look forward to hearing about your new purchase! LOL!

3 is hard work, really admire people who have more. but 3 is def my limit. i'll probably be paying more in childcare than i earn when i return next week, but we'll see how it goes.

and i know it sounds condescending, but i admire single parents too, i find it hard enough when hubby goes away for a couple of days for work, so to be on your own with no breaks must be really hard, but i'm sure your little one more than makes up for all the hard work.

I currently have the Quinny Speedi SX in Steel blue (red/grey) and i love it but............... I can't decided whether to go for Quinny Buzz or the lovely Musty Spider. I like the look of both pushchairs but have heard more good reviews on the Spider than the Buzz. Has anyone got one which do you prefer?? Please help me there is only so many pushchairs i can sell on Ebay before my husband thinks i am total cracking up HELP!!!!

Thanks for looking
