Im having random sharp pains in my belly. They aren't timable and they dont last long, just a couple of seconds. What could this be?

I get them all the time and it's usually when he moves (since they don't have much room anymore). The reason why I know is because I go for so many NST's and it seems after I get the pain his heartbeat goes up (like it is supposed to right after they move).

Well, I go for a doctors app. next Thursday (Sept. 4) If I havent had my baby by then they'll set an inducement date? I would be 40 1/2 weeks pregnant

I'm being induced on the 3rd, unless he comes before then (which it appears is not going to happen). i'm already 5 cm and 80% effaced, but contractions are never timeable or severe enough to even warrent a trip to L & D. I am trying the evening primrose oil tonight to see if that does anything.

What else can we do to try to go into labor?? Anyone know any old wives tales or something??

I've basically tried them all. I've eaten spicy food, nothing happened. I've walked, nothing happened, Sorry can't say that I've tried sex because BD is far, far away. So I'm trying the evening primrose oil tonight

Dang!!! Good luck! Your labor will be quick, I bet. If you want drugs, you better get there right when they are timeable lol.

I've been getting that and when I asked my doctor he called it "pins-and-needles" sensation. He told me to lie on my side to help decrease pressureand if it's severe then you need to tell your doctor.

They will give drugs up until I'm 10 cm. My own dr was 8 cm when she went in and she still got an epi.

Well it still takes around 30 minutes to get it. Fluids, prep, inserting it. So if you go fast, they may not give it to you. Depends on the dr and anesthesiologist though.
