what do/did you feed your 4 month old?

Okay so my son is 4 months and 1 week today!! Well my mother and sister keep telling me to put him on a little bit of baby food and some juice!! Just wondering when you put your son/daughter on baby food and juice?

I started food at 10 weeks ( only bananas at that time) but nooooo juice until 6 months and even then ahlf dilluted they til strangle on it. at that point in time 4 months they need the formula/milk for brain development

My son was eatting baby food @ like 4 1/2 months .. once you start them on it you have to give it to them everyday & I gave my son juice @ 5 months .. he`ll be 6 months soon

Sadie started on rice cereal at 4 months. After rice cereal she had yellow squash (a couple weeks later). But not too much that fist month.
She is almost 8 months old and still hasnt had any juice. I dont think she needs it yet.

you shouldnt give you baby juice until he is at lest 6 months and then it should be watered down. juice and water can mess up a baby's digestive system so its not recommended at all till then. as far as food goes, make sure you wait until your pedi says its ok. if you get the ok, start him out on rice cereal once a day to see how he does. then move to veggies, but only one at a time and for at least 5 day to make sure there isnt any type of reaction.

Exclusively breastfed until 7 months.

only breastfeed... Till 6 months he got baby cereal and at 7months I started him on vegis then fruits..

at 4 months Madi was fed breastfed then supplemented w/formula. We didnt introduce solids until 6 months and no juice...thats just extra sugar they dont need. They will end up getting full on juice then not eat their milk like they primarily need at 4 months. The lady who said get the ok from your ped is right, though....I have seen some far out suggestions from peds before....there are a lot of good baby informational site online.....you can always check them out too.. 

My son is 4 1/2 monrhs today and I plan on exclusively breastfeeding him till he is at least 6 or 7 months old. I don't think he is ready for food yet, and honestly, neither am I for him to grow up

The night Aidan turned 4 months we started him on cereal for dinner + his bottles all day...
2 weeks later we went to cereal for breakfast and dinner + bottles for every other feeding...
at 5 months we began cereal for dinner and breakfast with Stage 1 veggies for lunch +formula for every other feeding as well as a sippy of 3ozs water 1oz baby juice after lunch.
And now I'm not sure WHAT to do because for the last 2 days ALL HE WANTS TO DO IS EAT!!! lol, not sleep, not play, just eat... sigh, I wanted to wait until at least 6 1/2 months before started stage 2's but now I have no clue WHAT to do with the little critter

eta: like someone else said though, it's best to ALWAYS consult you pediatrician... EVERYTHING we did was recommendedby the pediatrician based upon Aidan's development and health.

Exclusively breastfed until over 6 mo. of age......

my son was exclusively breastfed till 7 months of age ... then rice cereal was introduced along with other foods slowly and he still doesnt have interest in eating solids.I was told by my dr that im all he needs till hes around a year old and to just keep trying with the solids . He is going at his own pace ... but i would talk to your ped and get that info . What worked for your sister may not work for your little one .

boobie and supplimental formula bottles only. pedi said no cereal and food til 5 months+.
