I am now the parent of a second grader...

I am now the parent of a second grader. She started second grade at her new private school today. She looked so grown up in her uniform. This is her first year at a private school, and think it will be great for her.

That's all. I just can't believe she is in second grade already!!!

Me too! It's was so sad, she didn't even need me to walk her in!   I can't believe they grow up so fast!

LOL I can see that I have many years ahead of me, where I'm going to think "OMG! My daughter is in (whatever grade she's going into) this year"

This year it just so happens is her FIRST year! She will be starting headstart (her birthday is after the cut off date to start Kindergarten) on Sep. 8th. I'm suddenly realizing (with your post LOL) that it's never going to really get any easier as they move from grade to grade.  

my oldest is going into grade 1 tomorrow and my second in kindergarden on thursday  just me and the tiny one all day now.  

I have two in school now! 

My son started 1st grade today and my daughter walked in to her pre-k room ready to take it over...lol.

My youngest daughterwalked into Pre K yesterday and just stared at me. She didn't cry but she gave me that look "don't leave me please". When we got home she said "I wish I didn't have to go to school". I was so sad!

Awww...Niether of my two older ones have cried or asked to stay with me. When my son started kinder last year I thought for sure he'd cry for me but no...it was the other way around. I was so sad ...lol. They even have a "Tea and Tissues" morning get together for parents who have a harder time than their kids letting go...lmao. Wow...there were lots of saps there today. Me included.
