1 month old sounds horse (maybe a hpv question) little long

posted 26th Aug
Hello ladies, I have a qick question, and before I start, Im brestfeeding as I type this so if I spell something wrong or anything of that nature, im a little busy so please dont criticize. But anyway, my son is a month old today, and for the past week, when he cries he has beeen sounding kinda horse. I mean I dont tend to let him cry long and I am continually changing, holding kissing and feeding him. So it is not like I just let him cry. So i dont know why he sounds like this. But everytime I hear him I cant help but to think that it is my faught. YOu see I was told the I had hpt, which may or may not have anthing to do with it, but I never had an outbreak and well my doc never checked me to see if i had any internally, and when I had him I was olny in labor for 30 min. I had him so quick they didnt have time to do anything but get Him out, and In a thread I wrote a while back someone told me that if an infant gets it from their mother it would be of the throat i believe. So now that he is sounding horse I am wondering could I have passed it to him. I meanbut if I did wouldnt the doctors know something. wouldnt they tell me at his 2 week apointment. .Maybe I am over reacting, but I would like any type of reassureance...Please, thank yuou ladies.

I'm not sure about that... He should have a one month appointment as well, so I would discuss your concern with his pedi. It never would hurt.

Idk about all of that but it's not rare by any means for infants to sound stuffy.

My son still does from time to time. I actually typically take him to get adjusted, for a quick fix. It seems to do the trick.

If you are really concerned though, just give your OB a call.

My daughter is 1 month 3 days, and the pedi. saw her at 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and will see her again at 8 weeks...

I cried as well and know I really want to cry. I was confussed as well considering that in Oct of last year I had a pap and they told me everything was normal, then in Dec. at myof my prenantal appt.they told me I had it but I was only with 1 person. But anyway she said I had a lower strain and when they did a colo she said everything looked good, but this was early on in the preg. but know I just wonder could he be horse because of me

That's when my child saw the pedi..
when he was 2 weeks and again at 2 months.
it varies by pediatrician, and by child.

My dr saw my son at 2 weeks and wants to see him again at 2 months. They are all different but if you want your son checked out you can make an appt anytime. You don't have to wait for the 2 month check up.
