obama on cubs fans

now iknow this mean nothing to the presidential race... but i have to say it still bugs me some. but here is what he said

Obama joked about the stereotype of Cubs fans, who probably are tired of being described as partying people-watchers instead of serious baseball fans.


"You go to Wrigley Field, you have a beer, beautiful people up there," Obama said, according to transcripts released by ESPN. "People aren't watching the game. It's not serious. White Sox, that's baseball."

i dunno it bugs me and makes me want to not vote for him just to spite him. (i know i am crazy) and i am sure its the hard core cubs fan in me... but i was wondering what have you heard from (either canidate) that pushed your buttons and does it affect how you want to vote??

Pfft, that's not funny to me at all. I'm a cubs fan and never have I gone there and drank or acted like a moron! Sure lots of people do, but there are always the proper behaving ones that are actually enjoying themselves and the game!

i cant even drink. lol. but i have never seen any one acting overly stupid. i went to a sox game... the park was empty. about the only good think i can say for them is they have some yummy food there (i would almost go again to have an onion hot dog and a taffy apple)

It is pretty empty. I think he's just angry cause we get more fans   But no, in all seriousness, yeah there are people that drink, but if their not watching the game why do they jump up and cheer during plays? Same goes with being angry. I was sitting next to one of those, *jumps up and screams* type when I went to my first game. I was a little overwhelmed.

So the food is good huh?   Curious now lol..

I have heard that John McCain wants Phill Gramm as his cabinet adviser on financial matters. That really pushed my button because in his goal to get him and his cronies as rich as possible he singlehandedly caused the housing crisis by removing government regulation certain types of transactions that essentially boiled down to allowing investors to gamble on whether regular people like you or me would pay out our mortgages or not.

That's the thing that really pushed my buttons and why I definitely would not vote for him now. Especially since the republican-led government seriously bailed out the corporations that lost money due to it but thought that helping the people that lost money due to it would be unfair and too expensive.

But I guess that's nowhere near as serious as what baseball team he likes.

it is yummy. oh man they have like tiny restraunts there. and all the food smells so yummy (but its no bubba burger). lol it is yummy (we got free tix from one of our friends so for a night out we went up to the cell and watched the sox play last year... they lost... )

we went while i was pregnant and everything smelled and tasted sooo good. i had a brat with onions on it from some grill thing... ohhh myyyy gooodddd. was it the best. then i had a carmel apple with nuts on it... they cut it into sixs because it was so huge!!! and a brownie. it was sooo good

You realize it was joke right? That there is a HGUE rivlary there so he was making fun of them? Its sports people! Good lord.

If the fact that he is passionate about his baseball team makes you want to not vote for him, thats sad.

I am originally from a small town outside joliet illinois. I am more of a football type girl ...Da Bears! I would have to say any major league event you are gonna have some beer drinking goin on...Hell we are aloud...lol..we pay our taxes on it  If we weren't watching the games we would just drink at home andnot pay for a ticket to sit in an uncomfortable seat. I get pumped up at any nfl, major league type game. Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Chicago...don't matter where

he attacked the people. thats the key. he said im not "seroius" about baseball i mean come on... its a judgement call "joke" or not maybe if you were as passionatate about a sport you would understand... and if you knew the rivalry there. to alot of people its not "just sports" its a bond they share with thier(child/parents) or a dream to play forthe favorite sportsteam.

tickets are alot to go some place and not be "serious" about the sport. lol we only buy tix to cubs games because its the only team we both care enough about. any other team we go see its for free (lol people give us tix all the time)

I am passionate about sprts, that is why I "get" the rivalry. He was joking around becuase he is a pssionate Sox fan. PASSIONATE. Are you telling me thatCubs fans dont talk crap onSox fans? Ever? lol Get real.

If you dont vote for Obama because he involved himself in a baseball rivalry, that is sad. Really. Are there no bigger issues of concern to you other than if Obama likesCubs fans?
