Braxton Hix Contractions...

When is the earliest you started to feel them???? I felt my first one at 20 weeks.... and now I get at least one or two at least once a week ever since...I had a reallybad onetoday... I had to stop what I was doing and lay down untilit went away.... anywho,I was just wondering if it was normal to be feeling them this early. I didnt think you were suppose to feel them until later on....

I'm 24 weeks, and I've never felt one. But I dunno

It may not be "contractions". Its probably just your muscles and uterusstretching that your feeling. I asked my docotor and thats what she told me.

Im pretty sure thats not it... I have had those round ligament pains from month one... These are different pains... my whole stomach gets hard and its uncomfortable... today was the first time it actually hurt.... Im pretty sure they are braxton hix... thats how everyone on here describes them.

BH contractions actually start as early as 6 weeks, you just can't feel them until about 18-20 weeks. From what I see you're right on track.

this past week  i started getting them pretty bad. . i've been told this is normal. i'll see my doctor next week and i'm going to have her check it out.

i have been feeling them, it always seems to happen that i get them when im at work and i work in retail so i have to like walk away from my customer and sit down so i can curl over and make it feel better......they are painful and they hurt and i just broke my back in dec and i feel them in my lower back man does that hurt....im just scared if this is bad now holy crap im not looking forward to the real things!!

what do i they feel like? Im just asking because im 27 weeks and dont think I've ever had one.

Ouch... yeah... mine get pretty uncomfortable... I have a bad back too... a couple years ago I had the corner of a bench rammed into my lower back and ever since then it has been giving me problems... now with the pregnancy it has been killing me... especially with the BH. Im not looking forward to the real thing either... its gonna suck!

well my first ones started out with just the uterus tightening up hard as a rock... the first one I felt that didnt happen after having sex was when I was taking shower... I had to stop and just breath throught the discomfort of it... the ones I have been getting more recently have been getting more uncomfortable and starting to hurt.... my whole stomach cramps up and sometimes it spreds to my back... they only last a minute or so... and they are irregular... I useually only get one once or twice a week or so...

OMG...you dont know how comforting this post has made me feel. I had one yesterday, my first bad one....and i thought i was going into labor. I didnt even think it was a braxton hick because im only 20 weeks and some change. (wiping sweat from my forhead) thank you for posting this, because i was going to go to the doctor if it happened again.
