well im friends is 35 weeks a long and she is trying ever thing to go in to labour. i have tryed talking her out of it but she don't listing to me she just wonts her baby here now. i was hoping you girls would help me and get her to stop and wait for when her baby is ready to come out

The lungs still have to finish developing, it isn't good for her to try and push the issue of labor. U/S are only an estimated guess on how far along you are they aren't 100% so she could not be even that far along yet, I would suggest that if she does try and do anything to hold out at least another 2 weeks, but she really needs some since talked in to her. She doesn't have long to go and the health of her baby should be her top priority right now.

Do you know if she is dialated at all? If she isn't then the baby isn't ready AT all to come out and she's probably just wasting her time.

i know what your saying but getting her to know that is a hard job she having sex like ever night walking all the time eat hot food hot baths and ever thing you can do to go in to labour. i did not think she would be like this she wonted a baby for so long i did not think she would try and hurt her baby like she is doing im so worryed about th both of them

i don't know they do see if your dialated in to your over due over here so i would not no all i no is baby head is right down

Having sex, hot baths, spicy foods, and walking alot isn't going to put her into labor until the baby is ready to come out so no worries there. Having sex and walking alot is actually good for her, as a matter of fact none of that will hurt anything. The doctor won't induce her until he feels that it is time. She can try all she wants to but nothing is going to work until it is time for the baby to come out.

Weel if she isn't and she is long thick and closed...then all the tub baths and walking in the world aren't going to do anything. Other than that look online at premature 35 week babies and give her the articles. Look up immature lung, intubation of a infant, tube feedings, etc. and show her the articles and pictures. Tell her that if she is thinking abuot breast feeding...it's not going to happen if her baby is in the NICU....she'll be lucky to be able to hold her baby if it's sick. The most you can do is try to inform her...other than that pray that her antics don't work. I know that the God that I believe in has a sense of humor....he gave my boyfriend our daughter (he was previously a jerk to women in the past) and I think it was to show him how a man can feel about his daughter and how he made some fathers feel when he was dating their daughters....see....humorous God. Let's hope that my God has a great sense of humor and will not put your friend into labor and maker her go overdue by a week and have to be induced.

Hope it works! Just have her look up pictures and stories on the forum about permature babies and the struggles that these women and children have been through. I know that a 35 weeker can't be compared to a 25 weeker....but early is early. I've shipped out a 40 weeker from work because it coded after delivery. I work at a small hospital and we have had 7 codes on newborns this year....why would you chance delivering early....it's heart breaking watching the mother say good bye to their babies as they are being taken by helicoptor and the mom has to stay here for the night to make sure that she is okay enough to be discharged to see her baby. One mom had 25 week twins and the boy died in her arms after birth and the daughter got shipped. She had to stay the night and by the time she got up to the cities here in minneapolis her daughter had passed before she got there. I seriously cry with these women when they can't be with their newborns....I don't know who would want to intentionally do that and feel that kind of heart ache.

Nothing will work babies come when they want all that walking and sex stuff do not work! My son was 6 days over due and nothing ever worked they come when they are ready not when you are ready
