can both parties use the same lawyer? Morgans dad and I both agree on an agreement so we just want to finallize papers and not deal with the court. Can you do that?

I don't see why they wouldn't let you. It would be pointless to have two lawyers if you aren't having to investigate things and to argue things out. =\

I would assume if you are both in agreement about what should happen and you both are present at the hearing there shouldn't be a problem with it.

I think it actually depends on the Lawyer.

Try calling a few Lawyers in your area and ask around, that would probably be your best bet.

Right now we have no lawyer. But since I wont let him take morgan without a legal documant saying I have full custody, he is pushing me to get one. Like he cant get off his lazy but and do it. Butttt a girl has to do what a girl has to do.

I wouldn't share a lawyer unless you are going to share the costs....

Also, it isn't in your best interest to refuse to let him take her, do you let him see her? If you aren't comfortable with him having her by himself, you should try to get supervised visits included in the paperwork.

At first it sounded like things were all peachy, but if you aren't letting him take her, then things obviously aren't....

Why won't you let him take her. Is it because you're afraid she won't get cared for right or because you're afraid he won't bring her back?

Its what I have been advised to do by my mom lawyers. He sees her everyday. We are both happy with it he would just like to take her to his house & also because he uses drugs. I want to be sure that it is written somewhere that I have the wright to refuse a vist if I sence the use of drugs and or alcohal.

We are going to share the costs. Everything is fine. Its just what I have been advised to do by my moms lawyers. Nothing 2 serious. He is ok with why I am doing it he just wants to take morgan by himself.

You do not need to share a lawyer for this. Because things aren't all sunshine and butterflys... lol

You need to put in the paperwork that he will have to take random drug testing, and until he can pass he will not have unsupervised visits!!! You can't just refuse him his visitation because you "suspect" he's used drugs, that wont happen. The best thing for you is to have his visits supervised by someone you trust, maybe his mom/sister????

that was the plan. His mom was going to be there. I do not suspect he has done drugs. He admitts it. He dosent do it as much as he used to at all but this is why she does not go with him. We are in agreement to all of this until he can proove he does not do drugs anymore. This is why there is no point to get into a big old custody battle of what we already know and agree upon.

Yeah. I am just waiting it out. And I think he should be happy with what he gets right now, a lot of my mama friends dont even get their childrens fathers updates on their kids much less let them see them. Not saying its right or I would ever do that but I am doing the best I can with what I have. haha.
