Baby shower menu.

A few of my friends and my mom are throwing me a baby shower. They want it to be a surprise, however they asked me to come up with the foods for the shower. I've been thinking about it for the past week and I don't know what people eat at baby showers. I've been to plenty, but I can't remember the food. Does anyone have any ideas? I want the food to be great, but not a ton of work for them to put together.

Well you can always go with some classics, like pasta w/ meatballs and sausages. Or you can go with finger sandwiches. It kinda depends on 1. your buget 2. the time of day, 3. when is it?

do finger foods. like sandwiches and fresh veggies, maybe some spring rolls and lots of sweets like brownie, and cupcakes. sstuff like that so its easy.

Well, I don't know much about the shower. But I don't know that it will be sometime in the beginning of October, probably a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, and they'd like to do some like appetizers while everyone is still arriving, and something nice for a sit down type of meal.

The only thing we did was sandwiches and veggie trays. Oh and cake those things are simple and not too expesive.

I had a brunch so we had quiches, and pasta, and salads, some bread, and some other stuff I forgot.

If you want a sit down lunch, what about some sort of chicken dish. I really like to make Chicken Broccoli and Cheese. It is fairly simple and can be made in bulk. One chicken breast makes about 3 if sliced correctly.

Then you could do a salad, maybe a veggie and some sort of roasted potato maybe.

Just some thoughts.

I went to 2 in the last few months the 1st one had alot of simple stuff: taco salad mac and cheese, sub sandwiches, veggie and fruit trays, meatballs, little cheesecakes etc,
The other one was given by the mayor of flint so it was a little bit more for one it was a their golf course they had a full bar, waitresses, 4 cakes like every flavor, mac and cheese, fried chicken, veggies, fruit, ribs, salad, meatballs it was pretty nice and they gave her $500.00!
