seeing the sex?

I know most DR's want to wait til 20 weeks but im flying home so i scheduled my u/s at 18 weeks and 5 days...my DR said it would be fine but the ultrasound people were pretty rude about it...what do u think my chances are of seeing the sex at almost 19 weeks???providing he/she spreads their legs for us lol

I was able to find out the sex at 18 weeks exactly...so I think as long as your baby cooperates you should be able to see if it's a boy or a girl! :-)

I had my ultrasound at 18 weeks and they could tell right away!!!   GOOD LUCK!!!!  

I found out at 18 weeks exactly. Just drink something sugary to get him going before hand. I might catch hell for this, but I drank some mountain dew and it got my little guy going. Funny thing is my dr. scheduled it then, but the u/s people were kinda rude about it as well..lol

great. they were totally sure for me at 18 weeks.

i found out i was having a boy at 16 weeks and 4 days, they say its easier to tell early if its a boy rather than a girl!

isnt that weird?? i was talking to my friend here who is due in oct..i asked her what my ultrasound will be like and she said the will measure him/her and make sure everything is going ok and check the sex...i said "oh i cant wait to hear that everything is developing fine" and she said they dont tell you that stuff!! that they just write it down and print off pics for you to discuss it with ur DR...i couldnt believe that the ultrasound people gave me so much hell for having my u/s a week early when the DR said i could and they cant even tell me how my baby is developing!

seriously... what is it w/ ultrasound people being rude?!?! brittany (OP)and i talked about that yesterday!!! mine was extremely cranky and now i have to wait till i'm 21 weeks to find out because i felt like i couldn't argue with her! ugh!

at least you got yours kinda early!

They were rude to me mostly about my bladder when we got there. They told me my bladder had to be full in order to see the cervix properly or something like that. Well my appt. was at 9, and I woke up around 6. I didn't take my morning pee! Being pregnant I'm sure you can imagine how hard that is. Then I chugged 3 water bottles and drank mountain dew when I was there. They were telling me my bladder wasn't full and I was practically crying I had to pee so bad. So they made me chug more water!Not only that, but my anatomy scan took over an hour and a half. I'm not sure exactly how long, but we got there at 8:30 and didn't get home until 11 something. I was miserable.

Def you should and hopefully him or her will not be trying to hide anything. lol
