The BEST Thing Anyone Told You!
posted 25th Aug
i know we have a thread by Ali about the wrost things anyone said to you. But i want to hear about the BEST thing!
Good advice, funny sayings?
Mine was at Tony's work, one of his co-workers that i just met came up to me and said "Hunny dont listen to anyone. They all talk shit. All you gotta know is this sucks. and there is no other way to put it. It sucks, you'll move on because you have great people in your life"
I know it sounds silly. But its true. IT SUCKS! lol

My sister told me the other day.. "Sometimes I consider pregnancy the ultimate STD, but I really like babies. Nice going, sis!"
Lol I didnt get offended at ALL and it actually made me laugh and feel good for a portion of the day.:]

It's not really anything I was ever told, but it's a quote from Tupac "If you can't find something to live for you best find something to die for." I think it's amazing.

Well I can't STAND when people say "don't listen to your pedi, they dont know anything"... it makes me cringe because she is young and went to school only a few years ago for it, and so she knows what she's doing. And even if she was old, Pedi's are always going to classes, etc. to learn new stuff. I think after 8+ years of school, they know what they're doing.
So with that background, I was down at my grandmother's house and my cousin was there and my grandmother was telling me to do something ridiculous, and my cousin goes "Listen to your doctor, they know what they're doing.".

Someone told me last year after i lost my first, "No matter what anyone says, this isnt for the best, it wasnt meant to me. So you can cry, you can grieve, get angry, there is nothing complacent about losing a child. And remember if you hurt you are human, life goes on, but it will never be the same.:"
It was the perfect combination of honesty and sympathy.

"To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world."
"Your loved ones are never truly gone until they're forgotten"
"Life sucks. It's that simple. Sure you can make yourself happy with friends, family, luxuries etc. but in the end you die. And that's what fucking sucks"

I pretty much live by the old saying "no use crying over spilled milk". Things happen that we have no control over. So you can either sit there crying (which will get you no where) or clean it up and get over it. And everything happens for a reason. Next time, you might hold on to your class a little tighter.

my grandmother once told me that love starts with a hug grows with a kiss and ends with a tear....i think its an amazing quote

After my first MC after I told my Dr all the crap my bosses had said. He asked if I wanted him to write up a prescription that would allow me to hurt them-we could say it is therapy! I am so in love with him-professionally-maybe. He told me that it is definately ok to grieve no matter how far along I was, that I had hopes and dreams for my baby(s) and now they are not going to happen when I expected.
My mothersuggesting that I bury the babyon her property helping me feel like I am not some crazy wack job.Having her agree with the fact that this just sucks.
My boyfriend suggesting that we name the babies. It just made it easier to believe that they were once 'real'. I know that it isn't the same as losing a baby at 5,6,7,8 months along but they were mine.
And all the unbelievably kind people who have sid what they've said andare helping me along these terrible losses

I LOVE THIS! This is exactly how I feel lately. I have been through soooo much within the last 1 1/2 years and I couldn't find a better way to say it. God doesn't put us through more than we can take!

if someone would have said that to mea week ago I would probably ripped out their heart while it was still beating. But today I guess I am feeling a lot better. What a nice thing to say, and a peaceful picture to keep in my mind.
