Adoption?

posted 25th Aug
I am curious about adoption since i lost my son. I see babies everywhere and i want one of my own so badly. But im not in a relationship and i dont want to just go out and get pregnant, and because of my bloodtype i will have difficulty getting pregnant and keeping a pregnancy.

But i dont know if most adoption agencies will let me adopt because i am only 19 and i am a single person. Does anyone know how this affects the adoption process?

You wouldn't have a good chance. Adoption is very expensive and you need to have a stable life and good income. I'm sorry, but I don't think you would be considered.

Hmm it could be difficult, only because some countries not sure which ones only allow married couples who have been married a certain number of years. We plan on adopting soon and we will not be able to in some places since we have only been married for 3 years. Not to mention the cost of adoption. It is terribly expensive, if you go over seas plan on making a trip over there. Alot of times you have to stay any where from 9-12 weeks.

You could try foster parenting and adopt that way but giving your age and your martial status, your chances of even being considered for foster parenting are slim. Sorry Hun.

Your age would be more of a factor than being single. It also depends where you want to adopt from-china or japan...said that they were not allowing children to be adopted into gay or single parent households.
It would be easier for you to do foster care than adopta child if possiblesome
states waive the fee.

Russia does single parent adoptio but the cost is between 12,000 to 15,000. Then again that the cheap side of an overseas adoption.

Yeah that's still so expensive, we will be getting help from our church, they have a great adoption ministry. And "Mommy to an angel" I'm so sorry for the missing piece of your heart, I pray that one day you will be able to have a baby successfully and watch them grow up. I am so happy though that you are willing to take care of a somebody else's baby, you will someday make a great mommy.

It depends where yo live. Here in WI, you can be married or single, rent or own house. But you have to be employed. Than in some counties, if yo choose to adopt the fees are usually waived.

I don't think it really matters on your martial status, but adoption is VERY expensive usually and being 19, I highly doubt you have enough money for the adoption and still be financially stable. Plus, I know a lot of agencies, you pay for the mothers hospital and medical expenses throughout the pregnancy. Not 100% sure though on every thing, ha.
