merina....

i am planning on getting on the merina and i was reading online that the insertion is somewhat really painful and i was wondering if u ladies could give me any feedback on this because im having second thoughts and i have my appt schedule in 4 weeks....i really want to get it because i had an unplanned pregnancy and i now have a daughter and i want to go back to school but not have to worry about birth control...i am really younge and having another child is not in my plans...im hoping that if this works for 5 years i might get it for another 5 years!

if u have any other alternitives to birth control id really apreciate it if you posted them...that way i know whats out there! thank you ladies

I just got mine a week ago it didnt hurt really just a few pinches and it was done.

I WAS happy about my *Mirena*.

Insertion is just uncomfortable, not painful.

I'm having mine yanked out, IF they can find it.

Since the strings have gone missing, and etc.

But I won't give you a horror story.

There are good and bad things about EVERY form of birth control.

But, since you asked about the insertion, it was merely uncomfortable, not painful.

I have it. Insertion was a little uncomfortable, but nothing too bad. I spotted for about 3-4 months and I have barely had a period since. I like it. I affects everyone differently though.

If you have any questions I would be glad to answer them to the best of my knowledge and experience with it.

i went thgrough many forms of bc with my dr and this one seems to be the best for me since im a teen mom and going back to school in a few days...

how soon after you get the merina inserted can u begin to have sex again?....
not that i will be having sex any time soon but just wondering 

Insertion wasn't painful for me. Of course I've since had mine removed  

After this baby I plan on trying the fertility awareness method. It involves charting your temps, cervical fluid and cervical position. Good luck to you, I have you find something that you are happy with!

I've tried like EVERY form of chemical birth control and NOTHING works for me.

I hope to God they can find my Mirena today when I go in!

I thought it was causing me to have ovarian cysts and making intercourse painful at times. Plus we wanted to have another baby

The book taking charge of your fertiltiy is very informative, you should pick it up if you are interested in the fertility awareness method.

I hope they were able to find your IUD.

They found it!

My cervix went back to its pre baby way so the strings were just hidden!
