FEB 09 babies - First Trimester Screening results?

Hi, I am due Feb 17 and I am waiting for my first trimester screening results. I had the U/S and blood test almost two weeks ago and should get the results any day now. The genetic counselor told my fiance and I that many women use this test to determine whether or not to even get an amnio. They also explained that we will not be getting a neg/pos test result, but rather a number that illustrates our chances of having a baby with downs, spina bifida or trisomy 18. So obviously we are hoping for as high a number as possible. The highest (I believe) is a 1 in 5,000 chance. Has anyone else had this screening done, yet? Anyone gotten results, or still waiting? And has anyone used this screening to decide whether or not to do an amnio? Thanks in advance for responses.

I refused the screening because the tests are known for false positives...it just ends up scaring women to death during their pregnancy...

I got a 1 in over 10,000. It's a neat test, most people don't have anything to wory about.

We didn't so any screenings. It seemed like it would just cause us more worry than necessary.
