The japanese used to bandage baby girls feet tightly for months so they would have small feet when they got older. That's a bit cruel. Shawn on a girl though, I think my girl cousin "Shawn" would agreed with me that her parents aren't cruel to her.

I just know what kind of a pain in the ass having a male name can be. IMO if you don't think of thoes things and go ahead and give your daughter a male name. #1 you're being selfish #2 you're being cruel. I honestly didn't ask your opinion of my opinion so, what you have to say about my opinion doesn't matter.

lol i know what u mean about the name Taylor - to me it seems to be the really pretty rich girls - idk why. Thats my daughter's name Taylor Brooke. I didn't chose her name, my husband said when i was 5weeks pregnant "if its a girl can we name her Taylor" and i was like "uh hell no her name is going to be Kayla" but ...it ended up being Taylor and now I love it.

i wouldn't associate shawn with a girl initially, but the middle names you have picked out with it are cute! i know there is the gymnist, the singer, shawn colvin, and the actress that's on gone country 2 right now, sean young. as for boy names for girls, i think they're ok. if my baby is a girl, i'm naming her jordan elizabeth, but i have always known more girl jordans than boy jordans so i like it. and i agree, all the taylors i have known were pretty girls. i do think some boy names for girls can be extreme, like naming a girl christopher or michael but names like shawn and ryan and jordan and taylor are fine to me. the same for names i associate with girls on boys, like ashley and kelly and kim and tracy, i don't like it because i think of a girl, but names like jordan, taylor, sam, mckenzie, and kaden are fine to me.
