My oldest was a baby genius! No joke! Full sentences at 18 months!!! It was amazing. My second is still pretty advanced too. She just started with the whole sentence thing about a month after she turned 2. But man, once she started it's like the new the whole language in a matter of weeks!

she started really talking about 14 months. YEah that was A LOT of fun!!!! and now she sounds like a grown up.
if babies are mostly around adults they pick up alot more. and if u talk alot.
My nephew is almost two and he can barely talk but his parents are horrible.
She is really good with her shapes now but she didnt start those till about 2 1/2

My son talks a lot now, he has about 30 words he says a lot, and he picks up a new one a day i swear. No exact sentences yet, but he will go on forever with words and jibberish when he is reading or pretneding to talk on the phone.

My son. he was doing sentences around 18 months.. my daughter she was about a year. She said mom at 6 months though.. she never stopped talking. Still hasnt.. lol
My son didnt get all of his shapes down pat till he was around 3, my daughter knew them when she was 2. And same with counting.. she has been able to count to 10 since she was like 2 and a half, my son was about 3 and a half. And not just memorizing the order of the numbers by sound either. Actually counting.

My oldest was about 18 months when he really started talking, knew his shapes and could count, etc. My second can barely get a word in edgewise and has been much slower to talk. He can rote count to twenty, though and sing the alphabet at two. He has a good memory for colors and shapes, he just lacks on conversation skills because his older brother is constantly answering for him.

My first son was almost three before he really started to talk to me. The others were under two. I think it is because they had a chatter box for an older brother.... lol

My aunts first two children have like... a speech impediment... They can't speak very well, I finally was able to understand them 2 years ago (they are now 9 and 11.)... Then her third child is super quick at learning how to speak, and everything. She knows her colours, shapes, numbers, alphabet, she's potty trained and all that jazz and she's 2. You can understand her much better then you could the other two. Her brother and sister were never like that. They were so much slower at everything.
