STUPID PREGNANT B*#$%ES!!

posted 25th Aug
haha made you look...
but seriously. I don't even want to go back to work today I'm so fed up with this girl.
She just found out about a week ago that she was pregnant... she says she can't be more than 6 or 7 weeks yet. Hasn't even gone to the doctor yet.
Now we work together at a childrens resale store. I do a lot of things sitting on the ground because I have so much pressure down there and its hard to stand for long periods of time. Well when she found out she was pregnant she started doing some of her jobs while sitting as well.
Then the other day our manager took us both aside and said that her manager had decided that we could no longer sit. And she told us since we are both pregnant we can take small breaks if we need to. My manager doesn't understand that being 31-32 weeks pregnant is not the same thing as being 6 or 7 weeks pregnant! And I feel like because of her they downplay the fact that it really does hurt if I stand too long. And if I took breaks as often as i needed to my manager would not be happy about it. But I decided to tough it out and just stand and not complain. Then I see this girl.... SITTING!! and noone says anything to her!1 UGGGHH
Then this baby tub comes in. Its green and blue with a frog mat and its sooooo cute and I really need a tub.
Well this pregnant girl is the one doing the order and I tell her to let me know what she prices it at because I want to buy it.
Well last night when we are closing the store I remember that I was going to buy the tub before I leave. So I ask her, "Oh, hey what did that tud come up at?"
She says, "15 dollars but I bought it"
She doesn't even know what she is having!! And it is soooo clearly a boy tub!!!And she is convinced she is having a boy and even registered for all boy things. UGH I hope this girl has a girl!
She just irritates me to no end... sorry had to vent.

Ugh I woulda been so pissed! I went on mat leave cause I couldnt stand the standing all day long anymore. We werent allowed to sit, and theres a specific break schedule.. basically I was standing/walking for 71/2 hours 6 days a week. If I had been able to sit and someone ruined it for me.. omg I dont even know what I would do! She sounds like one of those girls who takes even single symptom of pregnancy and just so happens to get ALL of them, in the worst possible way.
Haha imagine she does have a girl?? That would be satisfying haha

Your boss is the true moron for not being able to see that a 32 week pregnant woman shouldn't be on her feet as much as 7 week preggo. That is ridiculous. Get a doctor's note saying you should be able to sit and you'll be ok.

Lol when she gets that far into her pregnancy and decides to sit on the floor.
.. I hope she can't get up and has to ask for your help. It would be so awesome. Id be like "HA! AS IF. GO TAKE A LITTLE BABY BATH WHILE YOURE AT IT! AND LOOK AT MY BEAUTIFUL PP TUMMY. YEAH THATS RIGHT. SIT THERE AND GAWK!"
And then Id get fired and it would be well worth it.

You have no idea how bad I want her to have a girl lol.
But yeah, I wish I could take leave early... But I can't. Haven't been working long enough so I won't be paid. And I need it. And thurs we had our grand openning and I had to work 12 hours... and I've been working around 8-10 hour days. It kills me!! Idk why I get scheduled so many hours... this girl doesn't. and we are both SUPPOSSED to be part time. but ugggh idk... just irritated... and she adds to it sooo much lol.

You still don't register for shit. All newly pregnant women are excited. That doesn't mean you turn into a dumbass and sit on the floor at work and buy shit already. You're not even out of the miscarriage "woods" yet.

I know... idk. I basically just started so I don't want to complain about it or piss her off or anything. But isn't there a law about reasonable accomidation. Does that only apply if you are handicap? Because it should apply if you are pregnant too... lol

yeah I was thinking that too but didnt say anything. I'm all for hoping she has a girl.. but it would be a real shame if she bought all this stuff and then miscarried. That would be really sad

I had a co worker do that once, turned out she wasn't really pregnant, but faked a miscarriage to cover it up. e.e Then actually got pregnant a couple weeks later and quit saying she didnt have a miscarriage after all, and we totally busted her when she was "8 weeks overdue". Lame

When I was pregnant with my first, I had dizzy and fainting spells, and also extreme nausea, so at 6-7 weeks I was sitting a lot, but they gave me a stool and let me be cashier. But I had a legit reason, most people that early dont. This time around I told my boss that so far I am feeling great and as long as there are no complications, I do not want to be babied, and that I would not decrease my work activity until I had to. He appreciates that. Last time, if I carried firniture for a customer, they would pounce me and shoo me away, this time they are respecting my wishes. My doc said that maybe if I hadn't cut my workload right awaym and continued normal activity I may have had fewer complications. Since I am used to lifting on a daily basis, it's okay for me.

The moral of the story is, she may have a healthier pregnancy if she stays active early. But I don't expect she'd listen if you told her.

And registering for gifts at 7 weeks!? You don't even know that you wont have a miscarriage by then!!!!!!!!
