About Your Delivery's

i would like to hear about everyones deliveries if they are comfortable talking about it,
natural or c-sections 

It was natural...and Omg hurt like hell! Ouch.. .I was in labor for 31 hours.They tried so many different techniques to have him come out and then proof,here comes baby weighing 9.2lbs,23 inches long! Wow> best thing that's ever happened to me though.I love my son!!!

i was in labor for 12 hours 34 minutes...haha i had a natural with an epi my contractoins started at 2 in the morning at 8 my mommy took me to the hospital by then i was crying in pain...at 830am i got the epi. after that i kept looking at tha machine going hey look im having a contraction lmao. i didnt feel the contractions till they gave me that stuff to induce you with. so i could feel when to push. and that hurt mildly...when i had her i didnt feel any pain. just this big pressure coming outta my tummy...it was weird. haha. it didnt hurt till the epi wore off cause i was so swollen. =/

aww, 12 hrs that still sounds painful

1st delivery...woke up with back pain and cramps. ignored it whatever. i started noticing regular contractions. i ate before i went to the hosp. big mistake. i went on the delivery table   not like im the first to have done so and i wont be the last anyway i was a 2 when i got there walked 20 minutes and i was a 5. an hour later i was a six and stalled at a 6 for another hour. 30 minutes or an hour later i was an 8 then 15 minutes after that i was a 10. i pushed for a little over an hour and a half. i ended up getting an episiotomy because i was getting weak and my pushes were becoming less and less effective. 8 hours and some minutes of labor.

2nd delivery. Induction. Got there at 530 am. Started pitocin drip around 7. No cervadil or any of that other crap. My doc my cervix was so "perfect" he would not dream of messing with any of that. I was 3 cm dilataed going in. Pit sucked. Did not work effectively for me. Produced irregular contractions that did not become stronger or regular. They stopped the pit drip around noon and a little before 12:30 the doc came in. He checked me. I was 4 cm. He broke my water. Put me in labor immediately. My nurse gave me stadol and knocked me out. I do not remember much from then on. I know I got an epidural but I do NOT remember doing so. Ihad a catheter but I do not remember them taking it out and I also do not remember them placing an internal fetal monitor.I was talking out loud about things I was dreaming. My hubby asked me something and I told him "I need fifteen". The nurse and hubby both thought I was nuts. I remember being checked again and the nurse saying it was time to have a baby. They cut my epidural off to wake my butt up. It wore completely off by the time i delivered. I feel asleep between pushes. I do remember the actual delivery. No episiotomy this time. One tiny internal tear. I called my baby "cheesy". That is what we called them at work when they had lots of vernix on them before we bathed them. Still sad I was soooo loopy one of the first things I said to my child was "you are so cheesy"   Staying away from stadol in the future. I nursed for 20 minutes right after I got stitched up. I dont remember that either. I fell asleep again while the doc stitched and the baby got cleaned up.   Depresses me I was so out of it.

eta...2nd was 3 hours 5 minutes of labor

From the minute they started pitocin (I was induced 8 miserable days after my due date) until Jake took his first breath, I was in "labor" for 36 hours. Basically, I had 36 hours of miserable mother effing pitocin induced contractions and I would NOT dialate for the life of me. They put this balloon/catheter thing into my cervix and filled it up with fluids so it would help dialate my cervix. That was THE worst pain, more than the contractions! I had it in I think for 3-4 hours? The nurses would have to come in and tug on it every now and then and the pain was so bad, I wanted to vomit but couldn't. I finally got to 4 CM and was able to get my epi after like 24 hours of that stupid pain. I had the epi for about 6 hours and then they turned it off because I got to 8 CM and 90% effaced. They thought I'd be pushing soon but NOPE! Finally 4 hours later, I started pushing. My epi was gone, I was absolutely miserable. I pushed for 2 hours and the doctor pulled my son out. I think my first words were "OH MY GOSH FINALLY!!!" haha!

I was clueless about giving birth (well duh) and next time around, I am not going through any of that mess again.

Understatement of the year.

If I see my dear nurse Irene on the street, I WILL kick her in the shins. She gave me two doses of stadol. Even after seeing what the first dose did, she gave me a second. Eh, well I know I was a difficult patient because of it. She got what she deserved. My husband said she was threatening to strap me to the bed because I kept moving when she was trying to do something. I was alseep. I did not know. Even when I was awake, words were so far beyond my comprehension. I could not understand what anyone wanted from me. I also felt like I was yelling at them, but in all actuality I was mumbling barely even audible. I was getting so pissed off nobody understood me.

After the doctor broke my water...hell yes! I went from having little to no contractions immediately to contractions off the chart every3minutes at the most. Then...I am blank until delivery. That was not bad.

I came into the hospital at around..i sat 10:00pm.I was 4cm.I remember i wanted the epi right away because the contractions were kicking my ass. But i had to wait awhile..can't remember why but i was mad i had to wait.When they came in to break my water i was so scared. Istarted crying and shaking. Then i lock my legs together and told them no and i wanted to go home. They laughed at me but i was so serious. I told them i wasn't ready and i would come backwhen i was...lol..funny now..but theycalmed me down and i let them break my water. Then mycontractions got worse.So after i got the epidural a hour later i had a bad reaction to either the epi or the test dosage either way i was out of it. I remember being extremly sleep and my eyes fely realy heavy. I could barely keep them open. My friend Tanae kept calling my name over and over again and the doc wanted me to squeez his hand. I did it but i had a tude about it because i felt so sleep and people kept messing with me. After that i was out of it. I still don't think they told me everything that happened because they shaved me to go to the O.R and were about to take me but i guess everything was ok because i didn't get a c-section. Any whos, When i finally woke up around 4:30am i tired to move and i could. i yelled" I can't feel my legs" i thought it was because i had jumped when they stuck the needle in my back but it was the ept (lol) i had the kind you get when you get a c-section because i couldn't feel anything at all. My legs were falling off the bed and i had no clue untill my nurse came in..lol.. So they called to doc in he checked me and told me it was time to push. They had to put my legs up in the stirrups because i for damn sure couldnt do it and my two friends pushed my legs back when i pushed. I started pushing at 5:36am..pushing really took alot out of me. I pooped and i threw up all green stuff. It was a scene staright outta the movies..lol. So at 6:36 my baby was born. I was sleepy and the first thing i said was "oh he's cute i thought he was going to be funny looking!" Why i have no clue.. so once i made sure he was ok and found out i couldn't hold him yet becaue he had to sit under that "light" to make sure he could regulate his temp i went to sleep.. I was extremly tired.

My first I got to the hospital at 9:30 pm, they broke my water at 12:30am and she was born at 3:35 pm. With only 5 minutes of pushing because they basically pulled her out, her heart rate was dropping and they cut me, attached a suction cup and sucked her out of there.

Second I woke up at like 1 am with contractions, after about 2 weeks of false labors we I just sat it out. We finally went to the hospital at like 7:30 that monring, got there at 8 and she was born at 8:34 am.

Third I was induced with. They started the pitocin at 9:30 am I stalled at around 5 cm at noon till about 4 pm and she was born at 5:26 pm.

All natural first and third I had stadol with second I had no drugs what so ever. Loved every minute of all my deliveries. Plan on a stadol or no drug birth with this one as well  

Mine was pretty crazy . On the way to the hospital , while I was in labor obviously ...We got into a car accident . Some drunk guy ran a red light , and we ended up hitting him . We totalled our car, everyone was alright though. Except, somehow I smashed my knee on the dash . I didnt want to move because I didn't know like how bad it was, or what was all wrong with me. ( I was really out of it ...everything was like so calm and normal , and I had NO pain at all...an my contractions literally stopped instantly when we hit the other car) I was like really calm about everything. Any how ...about 20 minutes later , the ambulance showed up and picked up me and that drunk guy (who by the way was blaming us! although it was his fault for first off...drinking and driving ...secondly running a red light & speeding!) ... I wasnt wearing my seatbelt , and the ambulance said "we don't normally say this but your lucky you weren't wearing your seatbelt, because the baby is in the birth canal and you would have lost your baby' . so ..We got to the hospital, and i was put on monitors right away ..and my son was perfectly fine. then i was taken down to emergency to get stitches like 3 in a halfhours after being monitored ...and i got 23+ stitches in my knee ...and then it was back up to being on monitors (after an hour in a half of stitches) ....as soon as i got up back upstairs...they checked me and i was fully dialated ... they took me to the birthing room ..and i pushed for like 20 minutes..and then my son was here!   Perfect, and healthy  

oh yeah..and i didnt have any meds ....because there was no time lol.
