go to l&d??

ok... so i've been having contractions for 17 hrs now... this morning they were real small and when i went to the dr. i was 1-2 cm dialated.... i relaxed all day and then walked 3 miles tonight...its now 3:30am and the contractions are so bad i cant sleep... they're about 7 mins apart... i'm also starting to feel sick to my stomach... my mom is convinced that its just practice and i should lay down and sleep but i really cant it freaking hurts!!! should i wake up dbd and head into L&D?

call them and tell them what your going through and they will let you know if you should go in or not   if this is it good luck!! and DONT forget to breathe... best advice ever

I'd call l&d and ask but if you want to go in anyways then go!

If you call they are going to tell you to do this.

Drink a big glass of water... lay on your side. Get a pen and paper and write down the times each contraction starts for an hour. Then call back.

I suggest doing that first. Also drink lots of water. When I was in full blown labor, real contractions, I couldn't breath the contractions were so bad.

Always go with your gut, but for me personally, I would not go in until you "have" to....contractions while strapped to a bed with monitors and people hovering everywhere are even less fun than waiting them out at home (in my opinion of course! lol)
I went for the hospital when mine were 3 minutes apart with my last baby.
Have you tried hot bath/heating pad/relaxing music & massageetc?

Call L&D, I was sent home when I went at 7-8 minutes apart, they wanted me to go in at 4-5 minutes, so call L&D and they will tell ya 

Sooo...update!!! i went into labor and delivery... i was 3cm and they admitted me! i'm sitting here typing with my baby boyyy right infront of meee!!!!     i'll get on soon and write all about everything!! Motherhood is AMAZING!
