Pet insurance

Does anyone have health insurance for their pet(s)? Does it save money? We need to get our dog some dental work again soon and its expensive so I am hopnig if I got pet health insurance it could help with some of the costs.

I have pet insurance through my reg insurance. But I have not had the need to take my cat in yet.

we do we do...but its through Almeda East the hospital here in denver (the bigest animal hospital in the US and th eone that always on the Animal Planert The Emergency Vet or ER or whatever its called)
but i can only bring my dog there and like a couple more places...not all vet clinics accept the insurances.

I have pet insurance for both of my dogs. It cost $500 for a whole year. It saves you a lot if you have a puppy. After all the shots and check up, especially if you have a smaller dog. They need a lot of dental care, in the end you save a lot of money.

Damn, $500 a year is a lot for us to spend! We don't even have health insurance ourselves, lol

haha yeah well that's for two dogs. So far it has saved us a lot of money. They only go every few months, but they always give me a paper saying how much it all cost and it's up in the thousands. So just in one visit we saved a lot of money. I'm sure they have better deals out there, but that's just the one in my area. Just look around, I'm sure you can find something that is more afforadable. It is totally worth it to get the pet insurance though.
