Kylie Lorraine is here 8/14/08!

I went to the hospital on 8/13 at 7pm for my scheduled induction. Up until that point I was 39 wks and had no progress.....no dilation or effacing. Well after the nurses got me hooked up to everything and settled in,they decided to put the cervadil in. Well at that point, they discovered I was already 4cm  So my Dr told them to take the cervadil out and start me on pitocin. This was around 10pm. I just layed around the rest of the night with no pain. The nurse checked me again around 6am and I was still only 4cm  Around 9am I finally started feeling my contractions and I started getting uncomfortable. So they gave me some pain meds in my IV. I don't know what it was but it knocked me out within a couple of minutes . At around 10am, I was awoken by the nurse checking me, only to tell me that I was still 4cm   So they called my Dr and she told them to break my water. After breaking my water, everything seemed to progress.
The next time they checked me I was 7cm. I was trying my best to not get the epidural but my pain was so bad because of the high dosage of pitocin they were giving me. My contractions were only about a minute apart! So I started screaming, lol, for my epi at about 8cm. After they gave it to me I was knocked out until about 5pm when my Dr came in and checked me and told me that I was 10cm but that my babies head was at a -3 position. She said that she would wait 30mins, so her head could come down more. Well 30 mins later her head was at a -2. My Dr said that she would have me push for an hour and that if her head didn't come down anymore, then she would have to do a c-section! Which I did not want! So I started pushing with everything I had at 6:15pm and my little Kylie was here at 6:37pm.

aww yay. shes only a couple hours older than my little Jett. But we spent less time in the hospital.

oh an thats exactly what happened to me.. the babys head wasnt down.. the only reason i didnt have him sooner because i was dialted real quick. i probably could have had him at the same time as kylie if i started pushing then! lol. but about 8:30 they decided it was time for me to either start pushing or get a csection. he arrived at 9:11pm. turns out he couldnt bring his head down because he was so tangled up inthe cord. everytime i pushed he would come down but the cord would yank him back up there! poor little Jett.

lol... sorry but i forgot again - i bet the pain med in your IV was Staydol. that shit was the BEST! lol. the nurse was like. have you ever had a drink? this is like taking a drink. it immediately started working when she put it in and i was thinking HOLY HELL WOMAN! what kind of poor ass drinking tolerance do you have??? It would take me 20 drinks to feel this way, not 1!!!!! It was great. i felt so wonderful after that. hahah.

jett was due on the 19th. i was just going to a regular dr appt and tehy were like holy cow woman you are 7cm go to the hospital! got there about 1pm and then they broke my water about 3:30. gave me some pitocin sometime after that... then i got the pain med and the epi somewhere in between then and 830.

She deffinatly gets to be in the top five cutest babys that I have ever seen, I love the purple outfit... i'm bring my little girl home in a purple dress, that is if she ever decides to come out!

Thank you ladies. BTW she was 7lbs 6.8oz, 20in long. It's funny because since 30wks, they told me that I was going to have a BIG baby....def over 9lbs. That's one of the reason's my Dr induced me at 39 wks. So much for that big baby, lol.

Yes! They never told me what it was. All I remember is the lady putting it in my IV then by the time she walked to the other side of my bed, I couldn't keep my eyes open (it went straight to my head, lol). And then the nurse was like btw, it makes you drowsy. After that I don't remember anything cause I was knocked out! I just remember waking up and there was alot of visitors in my room waiting on me. That stuff was the best!
