sleeping through the night?

posted 23rd Aug
When did your baby start sleeping through the night? My daughter is 2 weeks old, so i know its way too early now but my cousin (who's a nurse... so i find her credible) said that her kids started sleeping through the night a 4 weeks. Is that way too early?

My son didn't sleep through the night until he was about 3 and a half or 4 months old.. so it took him a long while. Now he sleeps a good 12 hours straight.

I had to force my daughter to start sleeping through the night using the CIO method at 6 months old and now she sleeps 12 hours a night, instead of waking up every 4 hours and it worked in about a week. Every baby is different though.

They're all different. Alina JUST started "officially" sleeping through the night (8 PM to 8 AM) at 11 months. Before that, it was in 6 hour stretches. When she was first born, she woke up 2-3 times a night to eat.

My little girl first slept through the night at 3 weeks, she is now 4 months and has been sleeping at least 10 hours for a while now. All babies are different though. I've honestly been blessed.

WOA.... develop a bedtime routine NOW... it will help so much... you can't control when they want to eat/sleep.. but you can control when you give them a bath and what you do at night... they will eventually learn that OH.. this is what happens before i go to sleep... this is what has been working for me.. and i wish i realized this sooner

Emily has been sleeping through the night since 5 weeks old. Before that, she was a terror. She hit 5 weeks and out of no where started sleeping 8 hours straight through.
