hi ladies! need ur advice for a friend...

sooo since you guys were so good at giving me advice while i was TTC i figured i would ask yall =]

my bf is on birth control however shes HORRIBLE with taking it and says that this past month shes messed it up ALOT...like going one-three days without taking it and then taking all of them that night pretty much ALL month...so today she tells me that she has a little brown blood...and had sex approx a week ago (She knows this bc her bf has severe ptsd after his deployment and they dont have sex alot) she has a week and a half until her period starts...is this anything like implantation??? i know since she has messed up her bc all month that there is the possibility she got pregnant...esp with the time frame of when her period is due and when they had sexbut whats the likelihood?? and is implantation bleeding supposed to be brown blood or red?? and how long does it usually last?? i didnt have it when i got prego so i have no idea...thanks for ur help and opinions!!

for me the implantaion bleeding was a faint pink, and it lasted for 3 days off and on. i wouldnt think it would be brown but i'm not sure.

well i dont think she is pregnant...i mean i KNOW that you can get pregnant from having sex just once BUT i also know alot of the TTCladies plan and chart and try to get pregnant and dont and she has had sex once in over a month =/ soo her chances should be pretty slim...she freaked out when i said all this to her but i told her that its prob just bc she messed up her cycle by messing up her pill all month long

I was TTC, only had sex once on a day I thought I wasn't O'ing (SO lives 9 hrs away, so we couldn't really plan seeing each other around my cycle), and BAM! PREGGER!

The few times I used BC pills I too never remembered to take it on time every day.. and got the spotting and was not preggers.

It looks like if you interrupt the use of BC pills your progesterone drops making you bleed before getting your period.. here's the link on similar question & answer..
