Finally...

Well I went to the doctor for my check-up yesterday and they finally did an internal exam and a membrane sweep. I was 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. My mom flew in from out of town todayand after we got back from the airport (2 hrs away) I went to the bathroom and there it was...part of my mucous plug. I was so freakin happy. Then I thought this is the oddest thing to be happy about...a big gooey, slimy, snot looking thing coming out of my vag!! But it means she will be here soon!! Yay. now I'm all keyed and hyped up. I hope I can get to sleep...just in case she comes tonight so I am rested before the big show. Anyways just wanted to share with others that know all about feeling anxious and the waiting at the end of pregnancy!!

my plug came out a month before i was induced it doesnt mean that baby will be here any sooner hun, sorry

I lost mine with my last pregnancy and had my daughter two days later.I never noticed it with the first two, but I am due today so its not like I will be walking around pregnant for much longer!!

very true, i was so happy to lose my plug and then a month later i was bitching to the doc to induce me, i got induced 9 days after my dd, good luck mama, i hope she comes soon for you, it was one of the saddest days watching my dd go by and still being pg

I was 2 days overdue with my last one when I lost my plug. this time I am right on my due date. but I have a lot of pressure and more contractions...sooo I am feeling she won't be long. Thanks for the well wishes!!

ETA. I know the feeling of watching your due date go by...i did with my last two and since there is only 8 mins til midnight I am definitely going overdue with this one too, hopefully just not as long overdue.
