bank Teller

posted 23rd Aug
Does anyone work as a Bank Teller? How did you get the job? How much do you get paid? Do you like your job?

I am thinking about doing this. I need a good job and going to school for medical assisting just isn't going to happen right now. My friend does this and suggested it so I was just curious.

you apply. you usually need to have a clean record.
and you need to be bondable.
the pay depends on your state. here it starts around 10 an hour.

How do you apply? Do oyu usally do it online, on paper, or with a resume? It seems like in most places its around 10 an hour. Thats what my friend gets paid.

I worked as one during college. I saw an ad on www.careerbuilder.com , applied, and then got a call to interview with them. I only made $8.25 an hour. I liked it, but it is a lot of work if you are in a branch that is in a busy area (as I was).

Thanks. I will look on that site and see if I can find a branch thats hiring right now. anything would be better than what I get paid right now and I don't mind working hard if it means a better life for my family. Its kind of busy around here but all the bansk are pretty empty execpt for pay days. Theres like a different branch on every corner and in every grocery store around here. We have more of them than reastuarants or starbucks haha.

yeah i would look online, or even just go into a few banks in your area that you liike. also, if you fill out an app online (like through careerbuilder or any of those sites) follow up in person like...a week later.

I worked at one for almost 2 years. I applied online, had to take math classes, and pass a drug/background check. I loved it!! My starting pay was 10.50/hr and when I quit I was up to 12.25. I miss it, but love staying home with my babies!!
