exactly. That was my thought. If they say she is going to die in my uterus why not just try? Just do whatever possible. Unfortunately Leilani didn't make it long enough for that but I really hope this girls baby can make it. I hope she comes back on.

I am hoping she will log on again soon! I assume she is really not in the mood to chat a lot right now and she hasn't been on since the morning. It would be so wonderful if you could talk with her.

[you are so right about trying as long as you can. It was in the first trimester i was told my princess wouldn't make it, and she lived to 23 weeks. If her baby onlystarted this at 25 weeks i would hope she has a good chance.]

Im so sorry for what you and your family have gone through   Ive lost 3 precious angels late in pregnancy myself in 4 years and i hate knowing other people feel all the pain and emotions i have and am still dealing with from my sons current battle. *hugs*

The OP only foundout that her baby had the first condition at 21 weeks (the one that preceeded the hydrops). So if she only now has started developing the hydrops i would think there is alot of hope for delivery? Correct me if im wrong, but isn't that it gets worse in the womb than after birth? i know they treat the first condition. 28 weeks is a big milestone, but those born earlier still have a good chance, even with health conditions. Ive lived through that and seen it everyday myself.

well.....it's actually better if the hydrops started early and has gotten better by this time. As far as finding the cystic hygroma at 21 weeks, she may not have had u/s before that. Some people only get one or two. If it's getting worse now there is probably a reason. That's why I am wondering if she got an amnio. If there isn't a genetic reason she has a way better chance.

I meant if it hasonly just started recently. As in its not been progressing since the beginning. She was only going to find out the sex so that why i assumed she already had a previous scan. If they say the baby wont make it then maybe it is related to something else or it got severe fast. The fact she says th baby was otherwise v.healthy is a good sign. If it was under viability i would understand more, but im just so saddened that someone is offered abortion over delivery at 25 weeks  

that is so sad...im so sorry. i know your heart must be broken...i will pray for you and your baby. keep us updated.

I wish you luck, mama. I can't even imagine having to make that decision. I would do the same thing as you. Wait it out. Here's to hoping for your miracle.
