What could it be?

I'm on Day 16 of my cycle. Yesterday, when I wiped after using the bathroom, there was some blood but it was more of a mucousy (sp?) blood. It happened again later that day but was lighter and hasn't happened at all today. I also had some minor cramping before that happened. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but the past week or so there are 1 spot on my stomach that, when touched, feels like there's a bruise there. But you can't see anything.It is to the left of my belly button. Again, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Any ideas as to why I would have bled?

Implantation bleeding maybe?? You can get cramps from implantation as well..

Is it possible to have it at only 16 days into your cycle? I don't really know when I ovulate. I've always gone off of the 14 day luteal phase but I don't know for sure

I think CD16 is a little early for implantation bleeding. Some spotting may occur after vigorous intercourse though. Happens to me once in a while, I find pink spots mixed with normal discharge.

No not really. IB is generally 6-12 days after ovulation. It takes the eggy 3 days to travel to the womb after ovulation, so if you O'd on cd 14 i wouldnt expect anything until cd 17 at the earliest.

It is possible you were just bleeding a lil because of ovulation, it is a recognised thing and my gyn mentioned it to me before. Google bleeding and ovulation and im sure you will find stuff...

Thank you guys. I think I may have spoken too soon. I think I may have started my period today. Which is really weird because I am only on day 16 and my cycles are usually 30-32 days. This is the 2nd time in 3 months that this happened. And I have no idea why. This has never happened to me before

me too  . My cycles have always been so regular until the past couple months. I was on the pill for about a year and got pregnant while on it. Long story short, I was forced to end it, and my parents put me on the shot right after that. I was on that for about 9 months to a year. And my last shot was about a year ago. I'm wondering if maybe all the side effects are just now starting to wear off?
I also have HPV and my mom was worried it may have turned into cancer. It's all so frustrating though! I just want to win the TTC game

When I had HPV the only time I randomly bled was after my biopsies.

So, I doubt that is it.

Also, it CAN take a year or so for the shots to wear off.
I've heard of some women taking two years.

Well, I put a tampon in when i got home from work last night around 5 (i didnt have any here and only bled maybe 1 or 2 times at work) and i took it out around 10 and there was hardly any blood on it. I can always feel when I'm bleeding and I didnt feel it all night(TMI, I know, sorry). I didn't put another one in and havent bled at all since then..So maybe there still is a chance!

and by the way, since you have HPV too, can you clarify something for me? Once you have it will you ALWAYS have it or does it go away completely after so long? It's been over 2 years since my doctor told me i had it

The type you have will go away after 2 years.

If you get an abnormal pap and its HPV, and you haven't had a new sexual partner, some one is roaming.

O I don't know if I still have it. I havent gone back in over a year. I moved to a different city and missed my appointment blah blah. I never got around to making a new one whenI moved back.
But that's a good thing to know..

But anyway, still no more bleeding so we'll see..
