My little girl hit 3 pounds tonight!

I had my daughter on August 6th, I was only 33 weeks pregnant when I had her. She weighed 2 lbs. 4 oz. but was in perfect health (no oxygen or anything like that). She is in the NICU and the doctors are saying that all she needs to do is gain weight then she can come home. Right now they are saying that when she reaches 4 lbs. she can come home! One more pound to go!!

I had severe high blood pressure that wasn't caught at first (it started out slowly) and the toxins were attacking my placenta and she wasn't getting the nutrients that she needed. Luckly I went to my specialist for an ultrasound and he picked all this up because he said had it been a week later she probably would have been stillborn.

Yeah, that's some pretty hefty growth restriction! I'm glad they caught it in time and she's doing ok!

Thank you! I can't wait! Two weeks has been far to long already. But she is growing fast! About 2 oz. a night and she is eating like crazy! She is eating 2 oz. already!
