LEAKING FLUID? Need help ASAP

Okay... I know there's lots of posts, but I need to know what to do. I think I'm leaking fluid. It does smell sweet, and its watery, and not thick at all. Would it be ok to wait until morning to call L&D? There's no one at my Dr. office right now, and won't be til Monday. Help?

If you're sure its fluid go to L&D, if not put on a pad and see if you soak it through pretty quickly first.

IF you think you are leaking lay down with dry clothes on then stand back up and if it gushes out or you have lots of fluid go to l&d. I mean you can always just go they can tell you if your water is leaking.

Try squatting and see if you leak more or cough really hard and see what happens and if you leak it could be your water thats when I would call L&D

You are early.. Call L&D!!! It is important, your water could totally break at any time. ..they need to do an amnio sure as soon as possible., don't be surprised if you have to stay in the hospital until you deliver now..(if it is really your wateR)

I say go ahead and go to L&D better safe than sorry!!!

I'm pretty sure, but not completely... I put one on about 10 mins ago...

If youre concerned that youre leaking fluid, you should go in... They just prop you up and stick an unlubed metal speculum up your hoo hoo and swab your cervix, its called a ferning test, they put the fluid collected on a slide and wait for it to dry then look at it under a microscope... lol I was there 3 weeks ago for the same thing...

I am an RN and I would go to L and D NOW.

At least CALL L&D. But, if I were you, I'd GO IN IMMEDIATELY! You dont want that a baby to come THIS early!

ha or they do the amnisure test, which is where I believe they use a strip of treated paper to tell if it is amniotic fluid or not... But you cant have it if youve had sex recently (which is why I didnt get it!)

I did this morning... like 4 times. Rules that out doesn't it??? lol

Ok... i'm going to call real quick to see if they want me to come in. I've also had a lot of pressure down there too... we'll see what they say.

that could have something to do with why your water may have broken!
