OMG! This is so SICK! Skinning live animals?

Let me just say this video is one of the most terrible things i've ever watched!!! (the link is at the bottom)I couldnt get through the whole thing (itmade me cry), but there is a petition to sign and I honestly dont see how anybody could NOT want to sign it after seeing the video.

I originally received this in a myspace bulletin:

2,000,000 cats and dogs are sadistically skinned alive every year in China for their fur and left to die slowly in shock and excrutiating pain. "Because", say the Chinese: "its easier to skin a live warm animal that's convulsing in agony than a dead body".

To: The Government of the Peoples Republic of China Please urgently introduce legislation in China to:

1.Make it illegal to slaughter cats, dogs and other animals by skinning them alive for their fur
2.Protect all animals against mistreatment and cruelty of any nature
3.Ban the export from China of cat and dog fur and any products containing cat or dog fur
4.Ban cat and dog fur from being used wholly or partly in the manufacture of products in China
5.Introduce severe penalties to enforce the legislation

I saw this video and almost puked. I couldn't watch it. The best thing people can do is refuse to buy products that are made.

woo..a disgusting video about something thats happening thats out of our hands...well I think i'll decide to take your word for it and not watch the video...I want to remain in a good mood thank you very much. China is fucked up, but thats besides the point...signing an online petition wont do shit.

Im not saying anything bad....my husband is Chinese and half his family lives there, and ive been there...and ive seen the small cities (not the big modern ones , these things dont happen in Beijing or Shanghai or cities like that)....and ive seen some cruel things done in the middle of the street to horses and cows.....
China is a communist country, and this kind of stuff/petitions dont even get to the door steps of government officials...

saying things like that is not gonna help...you can not-not buy items made in china....its inevitable, even our McDonalds cups are made in China......

here is a little thing i remeber on my first trip to my husbands family's town...its a smaller town a couple hours out of Shanghai.
On the Chinese new year they take turtles and put strings around their heads and sell the on the street for like 2$ each and little kids buy them and ass hole teens and what happens to those turtles...they get strangled by the strings and they get dragged and the older kids spin them around and toruture them...and its perfectly ok.
My husbands 2 year old cousin was given one and the first thing he did was throw it down a balcony when we were out to dinner.....
and ofcourse no one really cared (eccept me i was pissed and i told my husband i wanted to go home) ofcourse his little cousin didnt know better...but still....i would never give Edi or Tai a turtle with a string around its nect to drag around.

No I dont actually think that they will make a law against it. there is a note with the petition:

there is more and i know it might not be much and even if it doesnt help...the video appalls me so much that it makes me feel a little better to sign the petition anyway lol. it just disgusts me so much. i guess the post is more for awareness than the petition itself. i took a chinese class in college and i have seen how they treat their people so this doesnt surprise mea nd i doubt it will be stopped but i just want to feel like im doing SOMETHING! and the story about the turtles on strings iscrazy. thats just sickening. thanks for sharing though! i could never visit China, i would be too scared lol.

I meant things like fur coats and shit............J. Crew is a popular. Besides, I doubt the cups are made of dog fur. Read my post.
